Cassie's POV.

Sucking in a huge breath of air, I awoke with a gasp sitting upright. Looking frantically around the room I discover, this is not my room. how did I get here? Did the bad doctor bring me here? No, I remember, Catalyn took over

"Catalyn! What happened?" I asked quickly

"I don't know, after I took over your body and dealt with the man, I gave you back control but it seems your body is Still too weak"

Rolling my eyes, I get up from the bed.I'm not weak.

The room was painted with ash color and the furniture were all black. It had a kind of modern touch to it, but one thing was clear, it was a man's room. Walking to the door, I pulled the knob but it didn't open, I'm locked in. I checked the windows and they were locked as well. I sat down back after minutes of searching for an escape route and finding none. There aren't any pictures on the wall as well but there was a shelf at one wall filled with books.

"You seem to forget you have powers. You could just knock the door off it's hinges with a single swipe of your hand." Catalyn said smugly

"OK so how do I do this?" I ask Standing up from the bed, I face the door.

"You should know the basics by now, Cassie!" She sounds like a school teacher scolding a child for failing a test again. Without being told what to do again, I lift my hands up in the direction of the door.

"OK what next?" I asked excited about what I'm going to do.

" you figure that out by yourself

"What?! How should I know?, you are the one meant to teach me." I exclaim, both hands flaring up in frustration. what's her problem?

"OK, if you won't help me I will figure it out another way by myself. And don't talk to me again" I spoke angrily, marching to the closed door. On getting there, I push the door repeatedly but it didn't bulge.

I step back and take a calming breath before I have a panic attack. I have magic yet I don't know how to use it. Glaring at the door, I'm about to give up when I start hearing voices from outside the door. Leaning into the door, I press my side cheek on the wooden door to see if I can catch what they are saying.

" Luke, this way! I think the noise came from here" the person I'm assuming is a man due to his deep voice says. Another person's footsteps start coming towards the door which is the man, Luke this one was talking to.

"Why are you just standing there?, open the door" the man named Luke says. His voice is more commanding than the other man's voice. His sends shivers down my spine. The door handles starts shaking and I momentarily start backing away in fear when I remember that the door is locked. This causes me to relax a little until the man named unfortunately Luke speaks again

"Well, what are you waiting for? Break the door." Oh no! Panicking, I quickly retreat from the door. I don't want to die this young.

"Catalyn!, I need your help" I wait for her to answer but she doesn't. What do I do now?, looking around, I search for a weapon I can use to protect myself if they are able to break the door down. I spot a chair by the side, I'm about to run to get it when the sound of the door breaking stops me in my tracks.

The door breaking sounds loudly again as the men outside continue hitting it. By now, just a few more hits and the door will break fully. What should I do?. My heart beat skyrockets and I feel like I can't breath properly. Is this how I'm going to die? Definitely not. A loud noise from the door startles me, reminding once again about my current situation. Maybe I should hide? But where?. Turning around, I spot a door next to the book shelf, without thinking twice, I run towards the door, shutting the door behind me as the Intruders break in.

The room I'm in is the bathroom and unfortunately it doesn't have a lock. Just great! My thoughts are brought back to my present predication when the men start speaking.

"No one is in here" one of them says annoyed, I'm guessing the one named Luke.

"I swear I heard something from in here" the other man says. Please God, let them leave. Let their eyes be blind to what others can see, I mean I didn't even notice the door here earlier due to the shelf beside it and I hope they don't too. I pray silently in my mind with my eyes tightly shut in fear as I lean against the door.

"Let's go you moron! No one is here" one says as I hear their footsteps retreating, fading away. Sighing in relief, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Thank you God!. After a few seconds, I slowly open the door, after checking and making sure they weren't there, I walked out. Who were those people? Silently thanking them for breaking the door, I walk out of the room into the empty hallway.

Standing just outside the door, I consider which way I should go, left or right?. Considering nothing has been going right for me today, i will go left. With hurried and quiet steps I make my way down the hallway, when I got to the arch way, I leaned on the wall and peaked my head out to see if anyone was there. Fortunately, it was empty. Is it just me or is this too easy Catalyn? She doesn't reply. Oh! I forgot we aren't on speaking terms. Shaking my head at both our stubbornness, I continue on my way when suddenly I hear heavy footsteps quickly approaching behind me.

Panicking, I pick up my pace until I break out into a full run racing down the halls turning at every corner. For the first time since I started running I spot a door ahead and I pray it's not locked because the footsteps sound closer than before. I didn't turn around to see what was chasing after me, frankly I was too scared to turn around so I just kept running. Getting to the door, I yank it towards me and it thankfully opens. Closing the door behind me, I search for a bolt or key to lock the door but it doesn't have any. Why don't these
doors have locks for Christ sake?

Suddenly I feel another presence in the room but before I can react, a hand reaches past me and clamps down on my mouth as another hand pulls me roughly by my waist into a hard body. Instantly tensing up, I prepare myself to scream when the person, a man I presume due to his towering presence speaks

" Don't even think about it " he snarls into my ear.
