Chapter Twenty.

   You know until this guy walked out I never noticed how dirty this place was and how they looked. I'm sure they hadn't taken their bath in years but even with the unkept hair, dirty clothes and body, even a blind man could tell that Alexander is an handsome man. His physique was that of a warrior with a voice that literally sent shivers down my spine.

With the way he is looking at me I can tell that he is also assessing me as I was him. Shaking my head a little to clear my thoughts I turned to Isaiah again

"Can we leave now?" He nodded. That was all I needed to run out of there. But not before I saw Isaiah give Alexander a hug. When I got to the door at the end of the hallway I turned to check if they were following me because I couldn't hear their foot steps even with how quiet this place is.

I turned to see them a few steps behind me. I couldn't hide my curiosity

"Why can't I hear your footsteps? It's weird, I could hear it before" I asked both of them

" That's because our powers have returned" Isaiah said while Alexander just continued looking at me weirdly. I tried my best to avoid eye contact and I don't even know why

"What does that have to do with anything?" Why can't these people speak clearly to one's understanding.

"In Avalon when you have mastered your powers your footsteps become silent. Since we are able to sense a person before the person even walks in we concealed our footsteps. Also when your powers have manifested to a point you won't be able to sense children when they are near because their anchors are still dormant but by their footsteps we know when they are near." After the explanation was given by Isaiah i deduced one thing, This place is full of weird things, practices and people.

"Okay. Are you ready to receive
sunlight once again?" I asked smiling as I turned the door knob leading into the corridor. Without wasting much time or waiting for a response I threw
the door open.

The corridor was a little dark but I could still see. Looking left and right I realized I didn't know my way back

"Cat, please help me get back to the main palace." I'm sure both men standing behind me would be wondering why I was just standing in the middle of the hallway but if they did, none of them said Anything.
She didn't need to reply I could already feel her taking control. Willingly I granted her permission.

After what felt like hours but on actuality it was only for a few minutes, Cat finally gave me back control of my body but something felt off. My body was weak, drained even. Taking in a shaky breath I looked around so as to find out where I was. I saw that we had arrived at the dinning hall, Isaiah and Alexander were already on their seats.

Now that I had released them, what was the next step? I hadn't thought past my initial plan of freeing them but now that they were here in front of me taking up more space than humanly possibly even while seated I was loss for words. Well first things first they need to take a shower. Ah! Yes I needed to get them their own rooms.

But the funny thing is I don't even know where the rooms in the palace are. The only room I know about is mine. Now that I think about I know nothing about this place...

The sound of the door hitting the wall broke me out of my thoughts abruptly. Turning to see who the intruder was I saw Amy by door.

"Cassie what are you doing here? I have been looking all ..." She trailed off when she finally noticed the two men behind me. Her expression changed as she cautiously made her way towards me. When she got to my side before she spoke again.

"Who are these people?"She  asked pointing towards Isaiah and Alexander.

"This is my brother, Isaiah" I answered gesturing towards where Isaiah was sited.
"And Alexander his friend"
At the mention of the word brother her head snapped towards me with questioning eyes.

"Brother you say?" She asked unsure

"Yes I just released them, they have been locked up in the dungeons for a long time now and I think it's time their sentence was lifted". I wonder what their sentence was, maybe life imprisonment.

"How did you know they were imprisoned? And more importantly how did you find the dungeons?" I hope it was okay that I released them

"My anchor told me about his whereabouts. He is aunt Stella's son with the king." She gasped at the revelation of his identity. Her posture suddenly changed her eyes widening slightly.

"Prince Isah?" She asked looking at Isaiah. Isah? Who is that. To my surprise he nodded

"My prince, I am so sorry. I did not know, forgive my rudeness" Amy said with a low curtsy

"Wait! Hold up Is your name Isah or Isaiah? I'm confused" Did I not hear Cat right? I was certain she said Isaiah.

"Both. Isah is a short form for Isaiah." OK but how come Amy knows the short form? I looked between Isaiah and Amy taking note of the way Isaiah was staring at her as they held each other's gazes. A smirk covered my features and looking at Alexander, I wasn't the only one that noticed.

"OK I'll assume that you both know each other?" That seemed to break them apart as they both replied with a loud 'No'. Chuckling lightly I replied

"OK so Amy can 2 bedrooms be arranged for them?. As you can see they both need a long shower." She smiled and nodded

"Good please have it arranged.
Also, I would like for you to give me a tour of the palace. I want to know everyone who lives here. I want to know how the palace works, who cooks the food we eat, I want to know everything there is to know about this kingdom, I can't just stay here and continue to be ignorant about the things going on around me. I think it's time I accepted who I am and introduced my self to the people"
