Chapter 9

"Nate maybe we should split up, that way we could find it faster" I stated looking at Nate who was looking around wildly. 

He glanced at me like i was crazy for a moment then nodded letting go of me "Stay safe Matt" he murmured kissing my cheek. I nodded heading off a different way than him, the halls and rooms seemed endless as I wandered down the windowless rooms. that is until I stopped at a brightly lit room. the few windows that were in it were barred shut  and the sunlight warmed my pale skin.

"Well well well looks like someone's lost" I heard Dethias say with a smirk. 

"D-dark, D-death i don't want any troubles" A voice simmer to mine but quieter and more timid replied. My eyes lit up as i recognized the owner, I gave a soft noise which i tried my best to sound like a goat. "d-did i just hear a g-goat?"

"Sounds like A lost Matthias to me" Dark chuckled. I hid myself as well as i could hearing footsteps near me. 'Mathis is here, so if we do get out i have to get him back too' I thought. 

Suddenly, I heard Nate's voice call out, "Matthias! I Need you over here"

"Go away Mathis, We don't need you here since your already broken away from Matthias." Deathias growled. I heard a small whimper like noise, soon followed by footsteps. 

I could almost see the smirk on both of our dark sides face as Nate shouted loudly "Matt, Come on I found it!" 

"Come Dethias, lets go see our little Nate" dark sneered as I realized he was trying to lead them away from where I was. 

The footsteps echoed away and a set of timid ones returned. I looked up to see Mathis poking his head around to look at me. I knew i was a mess and he leaned down to try and comfort me. "I came to help you get out of here Matthias" he said calmly. "Mark got me to come find you because he got worried seeing your place trashed"

"Mark was at my...."

"Mark and Joey both were worried, and Joeys the one who said let's get Mathis to go find him" he replied quietly. He calmly reached a hand out to me as if trying to help me up.

"I-I cant go without Nate" I stammered.

I cant bring him right now, but we can bring help to stop both of them" Mathis insisted. I heard Nate call out in pain my guess is at least one of them had caught him and he was trying to fight back. "Run Matt! Get out of here!"

"Nate..." I said with wide eyes. I looked back to Mathis taking his hand and suddenly I was out of there, away from the danger and any other pain.

"Matt!" I heard J-Fred call for joy as I fell to my knees on my apartment floor. 

"Matthias thank goodness you're ok" Mark stated placing a comforting hand on my back. he helped me up carefully as my eyes watered worried sick about Nate. 

"Mathis go back for him" I begged. 

"I will once i know they stop suspecting for me to show up" he stated quietly.

~Nate~

"where did he go!" Dark snapped pushing me back so my head hit against the wall. I coughed and winced in pain. "How did he escape!"

"your clueless" I muttered spitting some blood off to the side. Dethias growled impatiently and punched the wall. "He's gone, all because you fell for my trick"

Dark growled and clenched his fists. "Damn you Nate, how did he get out!"

I shrugged "I have no idea, find him and ask him while i fins myself a way out" I replied back with a snarky tone. Dark growled and swung at me knocking me back against the wall with a thud. I gave a quick intake of breath as hi picked me back up by my shirt collar, my feet now hovered a few inches off the ground. 

"If our connection wasn't broken i would kill you right now" He growled deeply at me. 

Dethias left the room saying "I'll see if there was anyway he could have gotten out by himself" he stated leaving me alone with my dark side.

"Which is why i wont break it or tell you how to" I replied There was another blow to the head, this one was hard enough to make me black out.
