Tabetha's P.O.V.
Next up, we have Queen of the Beams and Bars. Tabetha Davis!
I scanned the crowd one last time before approaching the beams.I always severed my gymnastics world from my ordinary world, but always looked forward to the adoring faces of my family and fans when I made that final dosmount off the the balance beams or stuck a landing off the bars.
90 seconds... 90 seconds was all I had to prove that I had what it takes to make it through to the olympics. Balance, flexibility, poise and and strength in my routine was all I needed to show the panel of judges that I was the best of the best. And I knew i possessed those attributes to becoming an olympian gymnast.
After my triple twist dismount, the atmosphere felt heavy before that deafening silence erupted cheers from the crowd.I was suddenly surrounded by my coach and my team, as I just secured our spot in the State Championships. Next step: We take the Gold. I stared up into the crowd where I knew my family should be but saw no sign of either of them. Strange. They never miss a performance. " Miss Davis?"
I turned around to face a young man, late twenties, wearing a state police uniform, " Can I help you sir?" I asked. still slightly franticfrom the adrenaline rush of my performance. " Yes ma'am, I need you to come to come with me, there is a matter we need to discuss" after regarding the look of what looked like to be sympathy; I followed suite.
