Cuts Run Deep

Chapter 8

I walked away from the hut holding my cheek so no one would see it. As I barged into my home I spotted someone sitting on my bed. With an unrecognizable backside.

"Who are you?" I asked walking around to see the person's face.

"Raven I've been waiting for you." A familiar voice said still not peeking his face.

Wait... I know that voice.

"Mihno!" I ask startled he smirks and pulls me on the bed. I lay there on my back. He hovers over my face, propped on his fore arms and his legs entangled around mine.

He smiles and bites his lip. I look at him with a worried face. He gets closer to my face and impacts it with a kiss. I decide to fake out this make out. I turn him around on his back still kissing him. He draws his hands more to my waists slowly. I open one eye as his are both closed. I reach down to the not so far floor and grab a knife.

He hits my waist and gently pushes his thumbs in my sides. I grunt as it is difficult to pick up the knife and fake this at the same time. I successfully pick up the knife and hide it behind my back I quickly sit up and bite my lip. He raises his eyebrows for a split second as I put my knees on his shoulders, pull his hair down to the bed with my left hand and with my right hold the knife to his throat.

"Touch me, I kill you." I say still holding my position.

"Jesus I thought you liked that!" Mihno says innocently.

"Only when Thomas does it." I say and smirk at him. I quickly get off and shove him off the bed as I stand up right beside the door.

"Leave." I demand, my voice becoming more violent. Mihno nods in fear and rushes out the door without anyone seeing him. I shut the door behind him and take a deep sigh.

I walk slowly to the bed and flop down on it and begin sobbing into my pillow.

Someone bursts through the door and I quickly turn around thinking it was Mihno as I was still holding my knife so I point it at. Thomas.

I sigh and drop the knife.

Thomas's POV.

Raven begins to cry and I rush over to her and hold her in my arms. We gradually find ourselves lying down next to each other Raven still crying. I hate to see Raven, my Raven like this. I rub her back trying to hush her down.

"Thomas?" Raven asks through tears and a shakey quiet voice.

"Yes, my dear?" I ask back. My heart racing faster than ever.

"I'm not saying he did but, what would you do if Newt.. kissed me?" I clench her even tighter than before.

"Well my love, I wouldn't mind if it was one time, He is going through some really dramatic shit right now and if he mistakes you as Jordyn it was a mistake." I answer my heart racing hoping Raven doesn't hear.

She hides her face into my chest, obviously listening to me.

"Are you sure?" She asks once again slowing her breathing.

"Yes my love." I say again feeling better.

We both fall asleep slowly but surely.

Newt's POV.

I wake up in a wooden chair right beside Jordyn. Awakened by Gally he nods to me making sure I'm still alive.
I look up at him with bloodshot eyes and show a half smile he leaves and tells me to be outside in an hour.

I finally get up with shakey legs I walk over to Jordyn and just stare at her face. She's so beautiful when she sleeps. I lean to her and kiss her on her forehead. Then leave the hut.

I reach the outside and the sun beams down so brightly I have to shade my eyes with my hand. I suddenly look over to my left to see Thomas and... JORDYN!

I quickly run over to her.

Raven's POV.

"JORDYN!" Newt yells and he holds my face in his hands then kisses me holding my waist close to him.

Whoa, what a kisser.

He finally opens his eyes after the kiss and has to blink a few times to focus out.

"Oh my Lord, Raven I'm so sorry I never meant to-"

"It's okay I'm not mad, I understand." I say interrupting him.

He begins to tear up and hug me tight. I wrap my arms around his neck and his arms around my mid back.

I cry a little with him and that lasted a good minute or two.

I let holding onto his biceps.

Holy Jesus they are tight.

He kept holding onto my waist as I lifted his head up by the chin with my finger.

I looked at him dead in the eye and raised my eyebrows.

He nodded and hugged me one last time before letting go. We both smiled at each other as Thomas walked up from behind me and swung his arm around me as one of my hands rested on his chest.

Thomas's POV.

The way Raven held me was one in a million. I looked up at Newt who just looked at the two of us and smiled.

"Hey you guys Gally needed me so I'm gonna go and help him out." Newt said and ran off to the Dead Heads.

"Tommy, will Newt be alright?" Raven asks looking up at me.

"Yeah I think he will my love." I say back smiling back at Raven.

Raven's POV.

After bourse of busting our asses in the scorching heat. It began to be cloudy and it started to rain it was a full out thunderstorm.

Lightning struck a tree in the Dead Heads. I flinch and grab onto Thomas's shirt as he holds me close and whispers, "It's alright my love."

"Wait, where's Newt!?" I exclaim looking around at everyone. Everybody's looking around themselves.

Then I hear the most horrifying sound ever.

"He's up there!" Someone yells from the back pointing up.

I look up and see Newt standing on the top of the wall looking down.

I run outside and Thomas tries to catch me but he's too slow.

I stop right under him.

"NEWT WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" I yell through the thunder and rain.

He looks down at me.

"MY LOVE IS GONE AND I NEED TO BE WITH HER!" he yells and looks back up.

I take a few steps backwards and suddenly he falls. Silence fills the air as he fell.

Everything felt like it was going slow. Right as he barely touched the ground Jordyn came running and caught him.
They both slid on the wet grass for a ways. I ran over to them seeing if anyone was hurt.

Then I heard Jordyn mumble. "But love I'm right here."

"Jordyn, is it really you love!?" Newt exclaims holding her face.

"Yes Newt it's me." Jordyn answers and they kiss.

The sky suddenly becomes cloudy but no rain.

I look up to Thomas and smile. He brings my face closer and we kiss.
