Chapter 10

Anna's POV

It was getting dark too fast. The day was too beautiful to end in my opinion. After Mola's accident, Ethan and I went on a couple of rides that were set up next to the beach. I tried my hardest to put Mola on the sidelines of my brain for a second, but I couldn't. I was getting really worried so to calm myself down a bit and enjoy my evening more I shot a quick text to her.

Hey, u okay? How did your shift go? - Anna

I'm fine woman, go have fun with Eth....wait not that much fun. Shift was fine, Derek came by and annoyed the shit outta me. Kick his ass on the field when you see him. Now I'm staying the night at Cassidy's STOP WORRYING - Mola

That calmed me down a lot. Eth came back with some food, as we were taking a break from the thrilling rides. Ugh the struggles of trying to look normal while eating. We talked a surprising amount about everything. Our stupid conversations would probably get us arrested if anyone else heard them, but to me they were incredibly important and funny as hell. You can learn a lot about of person by how they would break into a bank. He seemed so carefree with me, which I was absolutely amazed by. Okay Anna, snap out of it, we get it, he's a special snowflake. Wait where did Grayson go?

"Hey Eth, where did Gray go after we all left?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"Wow Anna, already moving on to the next twin? Was I that boring?" He replied, faking hurt. In return I smacked his arm, hard. "Owwwwww, I was kidding woman, geez, soccer is about kicking the ball not punching it, right? Anyways, Gray left after his date with that girl. He left pretty early, he must of not been interested. I'm pretty sure he feels guilty about Mola getting hurt."

I sighed. When would Mola start letting people in. I get it, her trust issues weren't just because of raisin cookies that looked like chocolate chip. They went a lot deeper than that, but how much solitude could a girl take? I felt like a failure of a friend, I'm supposed to make everything better but I just didn't know how.

I started reminiscing about when we were younger and how full of energy Mola was. Our parents were all friends and they thought it would be cute for us to match in dumb poofy dresses. Plus there used to be a very strict rule that we weren't allowed to give Mola any form of sugar after 6:30 PM, especially gummy bears or she wouldn't be able to fall asleep at night. AGHGHAGHAGHAGHHH IM ON A DATE. I'M ON A DATE. I'M ON A DATE.

I looked over to Eth who was watching me intently. Shiitake mushrooms I'm screwing this up, and he was being nothing but perfect. Okay my mind was definitely in overdrive.

"I LIKE PIE!" I screamed in attempt to snap my mind out of its never ending cycles.

"Well, your in luck because they serve pie here..." He said looking a little worried about my outburst. He started to get up, oh my lord he's really getting pie.

I yanked his arm so he sat back down next to me and told him he was an idiot before hugging him because, girls, he was actually going to get me pie. Our date had come to an end and I was kind of bummed, but the ride home was cute as frick. We jammed to a bunch of songs while I recorded Eth's so called dancing on my phone.

By the time we pulled up at my house it was a little past 11:30. Which wasn't good considering we had school the next day but whatever, it was a good ass day. I made my way closer to my bedroom window, planning on sneaking in instead of using the front door,

"I had a really fun time today, not to sound too cliché." Ethan said cutely. "Also, do you need a boost to get to your window?" He asked, while I was in the process of trying to climb up my house at the middle of night. I'll tell you trying to get up myself was hard and just plain weird to look at. I had my fingertips clawing at the ledge, while I raised my leg too afraid to let them both off the ground.

"Yes please, I'm dying over here. And I had a really good time too!" I replied with an extremely strained voice because I was nowhere close to my window. After giving me a boost I haphazardly tumbled into my room. I popped my head out the window, to give Ethan one last wave. I sighed as I turned around and the-

"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT THE HELLL?!??!?!?!" I shrieked.

"Anna Anya Diaz, is that anyway to greet your father?" My dad asked me, looking extremely pissed.

"Sorry Dad, you just scared me. Why are you still awake, you have work tomorrow?" I asked, trying to compose my appearance where I extremely close to shitting myself.

"Well Anna, when your daughter's school calls to report you missing from school, you try falling asleep. WHERE WERE YOU? ARE YOU OKAY? WERE YOU ABDUCTED???" My dad rapidly asked while completely losing his cool.

"I'm fine, Dad. Ethan took me to the beach today, u-uhm remember he asked me out?" I said, my voice betraying me.

"He took you out on a school day? God, what has happened to the kids these days? Couldn't he have waited till Friday? Geezus, the pace you're going I'm gonna have grandkids by next week!" he exclaimed.

"DAD!!! Alright, you obviously need sleep and so do I. Gooooood Night!" I said pushing him out the door in pure embarrassment.

"Wait, I didn't give you your punishment yet!!" My dad said from outside the door, whining like a little kid.

"Dad, the last time you tried to ground me you cracked and took me to the movies so we, especially you, could see the new Bond movie!" I yelled back, reminiscing about my punishment that lasted less than an hour.

"Ok byeeeeee!" My dad said, sounding like Anna from Frozen, and going to his room.

I laughed and shook my head, my Dad was great.

I changed into my unicorn logo pajamas and jumped onto my fluffy ass pillows. My phone lit up with new text, so quickly checked it.

God I'm lame, but take me as I am or leave me. I also shot a quick text at Cas to make sure everything was good at her place.

You good mah real mammary gland?? - Anna

It was an inside joke...you know how people relate their friends to real and fake boobs? Yeah no okay. I got a response a couple of minutes later.

Aight, don't burn her, remember what I taught you! For humans, 20 mins at 350 degrees :) - Anna

I smiled at my phone and then put it for charge, because I freaking hate it when it isn't fully charged in the mornings.

I fell asleep with my mind drifting off to the land of unicorn paradise.
