"Will you go out with me? Chanyeol said to you.
You looked at him with a blank face, you couldn't believe what you were hearing. You had a crush on him since the beginning of the year but he always made fun of you, so you thought he didn't like you.
"Uh, yeah. I mean yes, I would like that a lot." you replied cooly, but inside you were like, OMG OMG OMG. HE ASKED ME OUT!
He gave you his signature toothy smile and said, "Great, so you wanna-"
He stopped mid-sentence because your best friend Mi Young showed up.
"Hey I was wondering if you wanted to walk home together." She asked me. "Oh, hello Chanyeol." She looked at both of you, "Was I interrupting something?"
"Uhh..." You said.
Chanyeol put his arms around your shoulder, and said proudly, "I just asked her out."
"Wait, what! Oh my god!" She yelled, she knew I liked Chanyeol. She swatted my arm playfully, "Why didn't you tell me?"
"It happened like two minutes ago." You replied.
Chanyeol removed his arm around you and his smile faltered a little, but he quickly recovered. He seems a little disappointed. You thought puzzled. Mi Young didn't seem to notice anything though.
"OH MY GOD!" Mi Young yelled. Chanyeol and you jumped in surprise. "I just had the best idea. Why don't we go on a double date?" Her eyes widened in anticipation for our answer.
"Sure." You said, it would help if Mi Young came so she could make sure you didn't say anything stupid. "But who are you going to come with?"
"Don't worry about it. Trust me." She answered.

You walked to your locker with a spring in your step. I'm going on a date, with Chanyeol! You stopped at your locker and grabbed your stuff. When you shut your locker, you saw your other best friend Baekhyun standing there. You and Baekhyun were best friends, but Mi Young was your best girl friend, and Baekhyun had a best guy friend. His best guy friend was Chanyeol. That was how you met Chanyeol in the first place, through Baekhyun.
"Why are you so happy on a Wednesday?" he asked skeptically.
"I have something to tell you." You said excitedly.
"I have something to say to you too actually." He replied.
"Oh, well you go first."
"No, you go, I want to know why you're so happy."
"I just got asked out by Chanyeol!" you practically screamed.
His face fell a little, "Oh. Well, congratulations..."
You were so excited that you didn't realize he sounded sad. "I know right! I've liked him since the beginning of this year and I never thought he liked me back. And today he just asked out of the blue. So on Saturday we're going to go on a double date with Mi Young and her date, I can't wait! Anyway, what did you want to say to me?"
"Uh, nothing, nevermind it's not important." He said.
"Okay." You shrugged it off.
Right then Chanyeol and Mi Young went up to you and Chanyeol put his arm around you. Again you blushed shyly, and an idiotic smile was on crawling on your face.
Baekhyun saw you blushing, and his heart broke a little.

The next few days were really fun. Chanyeol would walk home with you and Baekhyun. You thought things were going well. You even went on a double date with Mi Young and Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo was a friend of Baekhyun's.
But the next week you noticed that it seemed like Baekhyun was avoiding you. Everytime you would see him in the halls he would turn the other way even though he was going in the wrong direction. He even stopped walking home with you, and always asked Kyungsoo to walk with him instead. You were hurt, and you felt like there wasn't enough Baekhyun in your life. You didn't realize until now that Baekhyun was a big part of your life.
Chanyeol was kind of weird too. He always held your hand or draped his arm around you in front of Mi Young. Alone with you he was nice, but it just felt like you were just friends. It didn't bother you that much though, as you soon realized that you didn't actually like him like that he was more of a friend to you. You were planning to ask him if he liked Mi Young and if he did you guys could go back to being friends.

You had had enough of Baekhyun avoiding you so you decided to confront him one afternoon.
"Yah! Byun Baekhyun!" you yelled angrily when you saw him come out of the classroom.
He stopped in his tracks, but then continued walking. You sighed and began walking towards him. But then all of a sudden he started to run. You ran after him and chased him all the way to a park near your school. You both stopped to catch your breaths.
"Stop following me." He said in between breaths.
"I need to talk to you." you said, and stood up a straightened out your skirt. "But first," you said and walked up to him and gave him a hug. You sighed contently and Baekhyun's heart swelled. He cautiously wrapped his arms around you. You drank in his scent that you had been missing the last few days and you were reminded of the time when you guys were younger.
"I like you Baekhyun. Do you like me?" You asked him.
"I like you too." He said as he flashed a smile.
You gave him a smile and wrapped your arms around his neck to pull you into a hug. You released him, and he gave you a peck on the lips. It was your first kiss.
Why are you thinking of that? You thought as you mentally chided yourself. We're just friends. You quickly pulled away before your platonic hug could become not-so platonic.
He flashed you a smile that made your heart involuntarily jump, and your knees weak.
Don't get distracted... "Don't play innocent Byun Baekhyun." You sternly said.
He sighed.
"Why have you been avoiding me? If you have a problem just tell me. We should be able to work things out. We're friends and if we weren't I wouldn't of chased you all the way here." You said. God say something Baekhyun.
He looked a little angry but didn't say anything.
"Is it because I'm dating Chanyeol? You do realize that just because I'm dating doesn't mean I'm going to ignore or forget about you. You're always going to be my best friend."
He just bit his lip, but didn't say anything.
"You know what, frankly I have no idea why you're doing this. I've dated before but you never-" then it dawned on you.
"Wait, do you like Chanyeol?" You asked. "I'm not judging, actually it's not bad at all 'cause me and like half of the girls in our school ship you two anyway." You said casually.
His face twisted in surprise. "What! No, I don't like Chanyeol! God, you're dense." He said annoyed.
"Excuse me-" you began, but he cut you off.
"I like you!" He said. "If you had some common sense and actually payed attention to me you would of realized it! The other times you dated it didn't hurt as much, but I just couldn't take it anymore this time. Do you know how much it hurts to see your best friend date someone you like?"
When you didn't say anything he said, "I didn't think so." With that he ran out of the park, and left you there as you stood while a million thoughts ran in your mind.
But there was one thought that kept playing over and over through your mind:
Baekhyun likes me.
