You were strolling along the street walking to school with ear buds in your ears and your hair in a ponytail. You always put your hair up because you didn't like it to get in your face.
When you got to school there was no one there as usual, because you always got to school 2 hours before school started. You liked to be at school alone and walk around the campus and you could also use the time to finish up the homework that you were supposed to do last night. Since you finished your homework you were supposed to do, you went up to the rooftop of the school to your not-so-secret spot.
As you went up the stairs a girl ran down the stairs with her hands covering her face, and you quickly dodged her. Was she crying? you thought curiously. You shrugged and continued your way up to the roof. You opened the door and ran, smack! into a hard body and landed on your butt.
"Ow..." You groaned slowly standing up.
The guy you ran into offered his hand to help you get up. You were about to thank him, when he said, "Look, I know I'm handsome and irresistible and girls throw themselves at me all the time, but you don't have to literally do it."
You looked up at him with a confused expression and saw a tall, slightly tanned boy smirking down at you.
Wow... Narcissistic much? You thought in disbelief.
You sighed and blew at your bangs, "Look Mr. I'm So Handsome, what makes you think I threw myself at you?" You said as you put your hands on your hips, "For all I know you threw yourself at me."
"Oh," he said smirking again, "you're feisty. I like that."
You were about to walk around him when he stepped in front of you.
"So," he asked, "why haven't I seen you around? Are you new? I'm Kai."
You sighed and rolled your eyes. "I know, I'm in your class." Of course you would know him, he was notorious around the school for being the biggest player, and still managed to have almost every girl worshiping him, except you of course, you were the only sensible one in the school.
"Really? I don't think I would forget someone as pretty as you." he said leaning down towards you, his smirk staying on his face.
You raised an eyebrow at him, "Do these cheesy pick up lines really work on girls?"
He laughed throwing his head back, "You know I think I really like you, you're the first person to make me laugh in a while."
You furrowed your eyebrows and thought, This guy just keeps getting weirder and weirder. You side-stepped around him and went to sit in your usual spot and read the new book you got yesterday.
You sat down in your corner, an old blanket and pillow waiting for you as sat down and got yourself comfortable. You put down your back pack next to you and opened the book, and was about to read when suddenly Kai moved his head above your book, blocking your sight.
"Umm, can you move?" You said in a way that was more like an order than a question.
He laughed again and moved away, and you went back to reading your book. You thought he was going to leave, when instead he plopped down beside and started to read with you.
What the heck is with this guy? You thought again for the umpteenth time. You rolled your eyes and tried to get absorbed in the book. You tried to focus on the book but you couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with Kai sitting so close to you.
Should I tell him to go away? But then he'll think he has an effect on me... I have to act like I don't care. Wait, what, act? What am I talking about, I'm not acting, I really don't care. You thought firmly to yourself.
