I awoke to Matt shaking me. I opened my eyes and he stopped. I closed them and he shakes me until I wake up again. I finally got up, stretched, and made the mating noise of a humpback whale. Matt was watching tv and finally looked at me. He had wide eyes and said 6 people were killed last night. I turned to the television to see six photos of people I always see around the neighborhood. I didn't know them personally but I would say hi every now and then. The only thing that was the same about them was a clean shot to the head. A bullet lodged in the same place every time. Police are still doing an autopsy to find out the gun.

I looked at Matt and asked, "Any ideas of who it could be?" "Actually no, I always thought this neighborhood was pretty safe. Justin came up five minutes later with some bowls of Ramen noodles. I gladly took mine and ate. I looked at the clock and it was noon. Crap! I looked at my phone to see Brent tested me. He said, "Meet me down by the lake by 4, and wear something casual <3" I made sure my outfit was casual enough and decided to film. I decided on "I'll  See You Again" by Westlife. (The song above) I dedicated it to the six that were killed last night. I downloaded the song and played it. I sang,

I will see you again

I'll see you again

I miss you like crazy

You're gone but not forgotten

I'll never forget you

Someday I'll see you again

I feel you walk beside me

Never leave you, yeah

Gone but not forgotten

I feel you by my side

No this is not goodbye

I edited it and posted it. I listened to it three times. I got up and walked to the shower. I washed away my worries into the warm water. I finished and got out. I put on my undergarments, my galaxy printed shirt, white skinny jeans, galaxy vans, and my favorite galaxy printed snapback. I straightened my hair, and did eyeliner and mascara. I finished and grabbed my wallet, phone, and chapstick. The autumn breeze tingled my nose with the scent of apples, cinnamon, and burning leaves. I smiled and made my way down to the lake behind our local park.
