After my deal with Jorge. I walked out of the room, suddenly to be crushed into open arms. It was Newt.

Bella" Newt says and wraps his arms around my waist, his head nuzzled into my neck.

"I missed you so much" I say.

"Missed you too, I thought I actually lost you" Newt says. I looked up at Newts brown eyes.

"Why would you think that?" I ask.

"Teresa told Thomas that you were gone, so I assumed something happened to you" he says.

"When was Thomas talking to Teresa when was this?"

"When we were out in the Scorch he spotted her and went over to her, he said she wasn't making any sense, it was like she was a different person."

"Yeah, she was acting weird when I was with group B, and I think Wicked have something to do with Teresa acting weird."

"The sooner we get out of here the better to Safe Haven, together, we could start a new life together just you and I" he says taking my hand and locking our fingers together.

"I would like that" I say and I kiss Newt, fireworks exploded inside me as soon as our lips connected.

I left Newt to rest and I walked around the building. I got so lost in my own thoughts I didn't realise I bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry" I mumbled and looked up to see who I bumped into. Thomas.
Oh great.

"Hey Bella" he says.

I just sighed in annoyance, and try to get away from him.
"Bella, please" he says and grabs onto my arm.
"Let go!"

"Bella, we need to talk, you can't ignore me forever, Bells" Thomas says.

"You want to talk, lets-" but I was suddenly cut off by an explosion.

"Run!" Thomas shouts and takes my hand and we start running.
"Thomas we need to get-"
Before I could finish, an entire section of the roof came crashing down onto the floor in front of us, blocks of cement falling on top of each other with thunderous cracks. It cut us off from where the others were.
I heard more fracturing of rock above us and I realised that we no longer had any choice or any time.

Thomas still holding my hand tightly, we kept running, until we came to an end of the building. We were high up but there was glass building connected to the other side of an other building, it looked dangerous, but it's worth a shot.

"We could try it" I say.

"What are you crazy Bells!"

"More than ever now stop being a shank and get on it now!" I demanded.
Thomas did as he was told, he walked across it, as soon as he got to the other side. I got on but the floor under me started cracking. Oh klunk.

"Bella, what are doing come on" Thomas shouts.

I was running out of time, I stepped on it and I started running. I could feel the floor cracking underneath me.
I wasn't going to make it.
Then suddenly everything collapsed and I was falling.

"Thomas!" I screamed as I began to fall. I was going to die.

That was until, two strong hands grabbed me, stopping me from falling.
My heart hammered inside my chest as I slowly looked up.
"I got you," Thomas whispered, "Its okay. I got you."
Thomas pulled me up. Me landing on top of him

He let out a groan.
"Sorry" I say as I look deep into his dark brown eyes.

Thomas started to lean in closer to me, this can't be happening. How badly i wanted to kiss him. But I cleared my throat and got off him.

"We should go find the others" I say.
Thomas gets up and we both walk out through the building, out into the scorch.
