Mal's Point of View
When I told Ben how he woke up, I started pacing.
"How the hell is that possible?!"
"I have no idea." I look at Ben and inspect him.
"No bruises. I don't smell magic." I sniff him again and mumble everything I see.
"You sure? I remember the last thing I heard of your mom is her putting a curse on me."
"God dammit! My mom put a freakin curse on you. Most likely you're now under her control!"
"Are you fucking with me?" I just shake my head no. I can't believe my mom!
"I can't believe that woman!"
"Well believe it." I look at Ben to see him staring at nothing and saying that with monotone.
"What the hell?"
"Hello daughter. Your mother here. I have to admit, you're somewhat smart. You figured out what's happening. But... you don't know how to fix it." Ben does a terrible evil cackle and I couldn't help but laugh.
"This boy does a terrible cackle, sheesh!"
"Mother!"
"What?"
"How do I lift the curse?!"
"You think I'm going to tell you? Oh you're funny!"
"If you don't tell me, I'll find out!"
"Go ahead sweetheart. See you soon..." Ben sing-songs the last part and then sneezes.
"What the heck happen? All I remember is saying 'Are you fucking with me' and then I blacked out." My mom's smart, I'll give her that. Making him black out while she's communicating through him.
"Um... nothing. Let's go find Evie and Doug!"
"Okay..."
