I laughed loudly at the joke Kian had made, throwing a chip at him.
"Not funny!" I scolded.
"That laugh said otherwise." Kian said with a wink. I rolled my eyes.
Kian has been my best friend for a few years now. He was the reason I was with Trevor. I had him over for a bit while Trevor was out to cure my boredom.
After awhile Trevor came home, and the rest of the boys ended up coming over. Everyone just hung out and ate some snacks. Every time I tried to talk to Trevor, he seemed preoccupied, so I hovered near Kian. I wasn't extremely close to the rest of the boys and couldn't help feeling shy.
Once it started to get late, the boys trickled out, Kian being the last to leave. I gave him a quick hug and shut the door behind him, making my way towards the couch where Trevor was sat.
"We should watch a movie." I suggested. No response. "Or TV, I'm sure one of our shows is on." No response. "Or we could just sit here silently and stare at a wall." I deadpanned. No response. "Trevor!" I called. He shared a glance before looking back down at his phone. "What is your problem?" I said, slightly annoyed.
"You, Kian." He mumbled quietly.
"What?"
"You and Kian! You were flirting all night! You're dating me, not him!" He said, his voice raising with each word.
"You know I don't like him like that! I was having fun." I fired back, furrowing my eyebrows.
"And how do you know he doesn't like you." Trevor sighed.
"Because he just doesn't! We've been best friends for two years now! I-" I cut myself off, seeing the hurt on Trevor's face. This really really was bothering him. "Hey." I said softly. "Look at me."
His eyes met mine, and I sighed.
"It wouldn't matter if he liked me or not, because I like you. As a matter of fact, I love you." I finished.
His face softened, and I touched my lips to his.
"I love you too." He murmured.
