Epilogue. The End Has Come

A month after the tragedy, in a familiar house stood Chris watching his grandmother console a friend of them. His grandmother was also crying at the sight of the miserable Nick crying on his knees. Marsha pats his head soothingly as if that would lessen the pain he's feeling.

Chris couldn't help but cry at the sight as well. Other than the news Nick brought them.

Leanne, his friend who came this summer, has passed away. And the pain it had caused to Nick is visible. He couldn't imagine that this guy who seemed so arrogant and conceited would ever cry like this. Chris had first doubted Nick's feelings for Leanne because of the ass he was, but now he's proven wrong. He loved her genuinely. He loved her that his life is shattered by her loss.

He used to liked Leanne too, but it's clear that his feelings were nothing compared to that of Nick's.

All he could do is watch him cry his heart out, one thing he never would have expected from the tough Nick he thought he knew.

HEAVEN

Few more months later, in a room enclosed in white walls, stood a hospital bed. And covering herself with the blanket is a blonde girl staring into nothingness. One can see that she's gone through so much. The pain in her eyes are visible but she couldn't express how much it feels.

How would she when she lost her voice to express? No word has come out of her yet since her recovery. Her doctors had concluded trauma for the patient but given the time that has passed, her inability to generate words is still a wonder.

Even when she's asked with her name, she can't give anything. When asked of her needs, she stares into them like she doesn't know what they are talking about.

Had it not for her benefactor, the doctors would have placed her in a mental facility.

She almost died of that explosion hadn't she been saved by this blonde guy who arrived just in time to rescue her. He saw her twitch her fingers in darkness and that's what it took for him to conclude she's alive yet. So he wasted no time to carry her back to the building. And just when they reached the lobby, the loud explosion tore in the night sky like fireworks.

But even she doesn't remember this.

The door opens revealing the same blonde guy. He strides inside eyeing her. His presence stirs her as she looks up at him. In any normal circumstance, that could have been a sign of relief for someone's presence.

"How have you been, my Queen?" The blonde Renz Allende asks stroking her hair which has the same shade of his.

Of course, she can't speak so she just stared at him with begging eyes.

"Soon, my Queen," he answers as if he gets her plea of freedom. He brought her head closer to his body as he hugs her. "For now, you have to heal and then I'll get you out of here."

That seems to calm the girl because she looks up at him and smiles believing his words.

The end has come, or has it?

End of HEAVEN.
