Chapter Eleven :
I was in a serious dilemma.
And I'm not talking about a run out of chips kind.
And on my list running out of chips is some serious shit.
I was pacing the room, frantic while Alec had disappeared into another room. I had fervently explained everything to him and then he had kissed me and left.
He hasn't gone outside , promised he wouldn't.
I tied then retied my hair a dozen times , trying to find something to do. I was wrapped in the black towel still. Finally I collapsed on the couch , eyes burning with tears.
I heard footsteps on the stairs and stood up faster than fucking Slim Shady.
Alec had changed , now in jeans and a grey shirt , and had a pile of clothes. He tossed them at me and I caught them easily. I dropped my towel and slid on the jeans some girl must've left here.
I felt his eyes on me as I tugged the shirt over my head.
"You know , if Laurels life wasnt on the line I would so bang you." He said , a few feet behind me.
I turned and glared and he held his hands up. Next he turned on dug through the other bag he had brought down. He picked out a few things but kept them hidden from my view.
He walked up behind me and slid something into my back pocket. I reached back and grabbed it , holding it so I could see.
A five inch blade.
Alec snatched it back and put it back in my pocket. He moved in front of me and held out something. I held his calm gaze for a moment before glancing down.
A gun.
I felt like I was a fucking Fort Knox guard.
I picked it up , about to squeeze the trigger and Alec snatched it from my hands.
"It's fully loaded and ready to shoot. Be careful." He breathed , sliding it under the large shirt , tucking it into my waistband.
I smiled at him and placed a small kiss on his mouth. I pulled away before he could take it any farther. "It's okay. Ill be fine." I said , smoothing his black hair back from his eyes.
"I'll be waiting in the house with a gun ready to shoot. Be careful Blake. I'm serious." He said , kissing me stronger, crushing my lips.
I pulled away and he hugged me. I breathed in his minty breath , the smell of fresh grass and gunpowder.
I pulled away and jogged up the stairs. Then I opened the front door , walking outside.
I scanned the yard before my eyes landed on a dark shape in the very back.
I nervously reached back , fingering the handle of the blade Alec had slipped into my pocket. I mean , I had no idea who I was dealing with. I could hold my own in a barfight or a scuffle at a party , but Ryder was involved with this guy , meaning he was probably a drug dealer too.
It was still sad. I couldn't believe Ryder was a drug dealer.
Focus Blake , focus.
I dropped my hand and took steady steps towards the dark mass in the backyard. A quick glance around told me that there was no one even awake in the neighbourhood , considering that it was 3 in the morning.
My eyes narrowed as I saw something shift , and then a cry that I immediately recognized as Laurel's. I shot forward , sprinting , my long legs covering the ground quickly.
