A/N : Hi I'm back :)
Julie's POV
I open my eyes to a bright room and a loud beeping sound in my ears. I blink a few times, my eyes feeling sore and heavy. My tired state turns into complete fear because I have no idea where I am or how I got here.
A couple people quickly rush into the room wearing nurse or doctor uniforms, so I'm guessing I'm at the hospital. They unplug something to make the beeping stop, and look at me briefly before the doctor softly speaks.
"Hello" he grunts, as the small man with graying hair pulls up a chair next to where I'm laying. I open my mouth to speak and I notice how incredibly dry my mouth is, and I start coughing because of it. He hands my a small cup of water and I take small sips at a time.
"I'm going to ask you a few questions if that's alright." He says to me, and I nod in response. "Can you tell me your name?" He starts, Easy
"Julie Carter" I simply say.
"Can you tell me a bit about yourself?" Again easy
"I'm 18 years old, I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I then moved to Australia for high school, continued a YouTube channel up until now since then. I met some of my best friends there, and boyfriend. I had to continue my education online when I decided to tour with their band. It's been very important to me, their band." I explain.
"Ok now do you know why you're here?" Not so easy. I strained my brain as far back as it could go just to the last thing I remember.
"Um no I can't remember" I softly say, trying to keep eye contact with him.
"Well what's the last thing you remember?"
"I woke up in our hotel room, in Chicago, before the boys had to go to soundcheck."
"Ok, Miss Carter we have some good and bad news. Now to make things easier on you, since you don't know what's going on. I'm going to tell you the good news, and have your loved ones tell you the bad." I almost choke again bad news. I have no idea what their going to tell me and I'm pretty scared at the moment.
"Good news is, you're not suffering from amnesia. Also, in a couple hours, after a few testing and making sure you're ok, you'll get to go home. Which isn't likely for patients that went through a coma, which is what you were in."
"For how long?" I ask.
"Luckily, only a little more than a week. But I do need to tell you your damages." He looks through a file folder and starts to read out loud "You got major bruising to the bone on your right leg, which we treated immediately, and is already starting to heal. So you will be in crutches for the next few weeks or so. There was no major impact to your head, only to your lungs. It may be hard to breathe for awhile, breathing self-therapy and exercises are necessary. Take it super slow and easy this next month, you're still very weak. We also have specific directions to who you will be with after you leave." He finishes, closes the file then looks at me. "You're boyfriend and friends have been here the whole time, they've brought clothes for you to change into them we'll let you go. Are you comfortable with your boyfriend helping you change? Or would you rather have a nurse?"
"I'll have my boyfriend help me please" I smile weakly.
Luke. This must've been so hard on him, tears start to well in my eyes at the thought of him seeing me in this state. He cares about me so much, seeing me sad or sick could put him in such a bad mood, but he always knows that he can help me. But with this he had no way to help me, and that could have broke him.
