I know the title is strange. Just ignore it. In this one-shot we will see Fushimi showing his soft side. Something, which is really unusual for him. I hope you enjoy jt! And sorry for the way it's written. I wrote it on my phone.

You closed your eyes, taking a deep breath. You wanted to relax a bit. The stress from work is making you weaker and weaker every single day.
"Saru?" You hugged the man beside you. He mumbled something unclear, which meant he was asleep. You smiled at his peaceful face. You kissed his forehead, then burried your face in his chest, falling asleep.
You woke up in the middle of the night, your throat dry as the desert. You coughed a bit before you went to the kitchen, filling your glass with water.
You went back to the bedroom to see Fushimi's face red. Drops of sweat could be also seen. His right arm was clenched in a fist.
"Saru!" You ran to him. "Wake up! Fushimi!" You shaked him. His eyes shot open. His beautiful blue eyes, who always showed emotions you couldn't define, were now wide open from fear. His look made your heart brake.
"Saru, what happened?" You asked worried. He looked at you for a few minutes, silence filling the room, before he gained his usual expression and turned around, his back now facing you.
"Nothing. Just go to sleep, (Y/N)." He spoke in a cold voice. It hurts you so much to hear him talking like this to you. And the fact that he is hiding his problem for you made you wonder - just for a second - does he love you as much as you love him?
You sighed, lying on the bed, your back pressing against Saruhiko's.
"Good night, Saru." You said, closing your (e/c) eyes.
-------------
You woke up at around 7 AM, seeing that the bed was empty. You were curious. Why was he up so early. He usually woke up at the time you had to walk out of the apartment. Yawning, you stood up, walking to the wardrobe, picking some comfy clothes for today.
You walked in the kitchen, your eyes landing on the figure standing by the table.
"Oi, Saru! Why are you up so early?" You asked, walking towards the table, picking an apple from the counter before that.
"No reason." He simply said without facing you. He seemed like he was lost, his blue eyes watching something in the other end of the room.
"For last night..." You saw how his body stiffened, his mouth opening a bit. "I was really worried. What happened? I know it's a nightmare, but it seriously freaked me out. And since it did that to me, I don't want to imagine what it did to you!"
"Forget it. Okay? Just forget it." He said, walking out from the kitchen. Seconds after that, you heard the front door opening and closing.
You sat on the chair, sighing.
"Why doesn't he want to tell me?"
---------------
Saru came back, surprised to see you on the couch, watching TV.
"Didn't you go to work?" He asked, fixing his glasses.
"No." You mumbled, watching the TV with boredom.
"Why?"
"Because I wanted to." You pouted, turning the TV off. "I'll be going to sleep, there is dinner on the table. I prepared your favorite one." You said, not realizing your voice cracking.
"(Y/N)..." Saru tried to grab you by the wrist, but you pulled away, not looking him in the eyes.
"I just want to sleep. Good night." You said, walking inside the bedroom. You released your (h/c) hair from the clip you had and lied on the bed, taking a book with you. You read a sentence from the book and groaned in frustration. It wasn't interesting at the moment.
You closed your eyes, falling asleep. You didn't dream anything. Only darkness. But you didn't care.
You woke up from a whimper. It was again in the middle of the night. You turned the lights on, trying to fix the picture in front of you, which was still blurry. After a few seconds, you shook Saru, making him yelp.
"What happened... Saruhiko... you... why are you crying?" Seeing this in front of you made your heart stop beating at all. His eyes were red, tears rolling down his cheeks, his whole body shaking. Last night, it was unsual for him to be like that, but today. This... you couldn't believe it. He scratched the place were he had burned his symbol of HOMRA. He told you about the kings, even though you weren't working for neither of them.
"It's n-nothing. Seriously, just go to sleep." He said, lying down on the bed.
"No! It's not nothing! It has never been nothing! It is something, Saru! Two days you are being tortured by those stupid nightmares! And two days you treat me like I'm nothing! I missed work today, because I was worried sick for you. You, you just stormed out of the kitchen today, going outside without saying a word! I thought you loved me as much as I do!" You yelled, tearing up.
Saru watched you for a few seconds, before pulling you in a tight hug. His body was shaking, which meant he was still crying.
"Last night..." He started, his voice cracking a bit. "I dreamed about an old friend. Misaki. We are enemies right now, which is the sad part, because we were best friends. When I left HOMRA, he told me I was a traitor. I did it because I wanted to, because I didn't feel in place with those guys. What I am sad about is that he was mad at me..."He stopped. You thought he was going to say something more, but he didn't. At least not on that subject. "This night, I dreamed about you leaving me. I don't want you to leave me, (Y/N)! Please don't." He cried out, hugging you tighter.
"I will never leave you, Saru." You pulled away, wiping his tears away with your thumb. "I love you."
"Promise me." He whispered, leaning closer to you.
"I promise." And with those final words, you both closed the gap between you with a kiss. A kiss that meant everything.
