Jack's P.O.V
There are some feelings that are so strong they have a numbing effect. What I was feeling at that point was one of those emotions. Sure, I was being interrogated quite harshly whilst tied to a chair with hair, but I was also being interrogated quite harshly whilst being tied to a chair with hair! I was not a spectator anymore!
After officially meeting Rapunzel, Merida ordered her to tie me up. They argued, but Merida won out in the end. They then went and debated in the corner for a few minutes before returning to my chair. I would have fought but Hiccup (the sly dog!) took my stick away rendering me pretty much useless.
"Who are you?" Was the inevitable first question.
"I'm Jack Frost, Spirit of Winter." I answered attempting to be serious but failing because of excitement.
"Why are you here?"
"I don't know." They looked over at each other, doubting my words.
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"I woke up here a while ago, even though I don't need to sleep. I remember falling from the sky, but that's it. I know you all experienced the same sensation, but I don't know why you are here either."
"What are you powers?" They continued although disapointed that I couldn't help with their - our - problem.
"I can create snow, ice and frost. I can control the wind and fly. I can also enchant people to have fun. nothing horrible I promise."
"Why did you throw a snowball at me?!" Merida asked suddenly.
"I was only having fun, Frizz! No one was talking-" Merida pulled Rapunzel's hair so that the chair was pulled upside down. " What did you just call me?" she yelled. I weighed my options.
"Frizz." I replied. She paused.
"You think that's funny do you?! Well I think this is hilarious!" She let go of the hair and I dropped face first on to the floor. It hurt and I was now at an awkward angle. Rapunzel tutted and picked me back up.
"Thanks." I muttered.
"Do you know anything about where we are or why we are here?"
"I don't know where we are or why, but I think Man in Moon is behind it."
"Who?" They all questioned.
"Man in Moon." I repeated, "You know, big round, nocturnal. Resurrects and restores, chooses the guardians..." They remained blank but went with it.
"Why would he want to keep us here?"
"I don't know. You'd have to ask him, but so far he hasn't answered me. Have I proved myself innocent yet?"
"How did you know about Toothless?" Hiccup quickly asked as Rapunzel went to free me.
"I searched your things when you were asleep. Are we done yet?"
They looked wary, I would be too. But with a reluctant nod from Merida, Rapunzel set me free.
I reached to take my staff from Hiccup but he held it out of the way. "Your magic may be innocent but it brought nothing but trouble. You are gonna have to prove yourself a tad more before we give you any power here, Frost." I looked to the others.
" Its not like you are gonna need it. Unless you have something planned of course." Merida narrowed her eyes.
"I've been here the whole time! If I wanted to do something I would've done it already!" I cried exasperated.
"Look, if you can last the rest of the day and at night without it. We'll give it back to you pretty soon. It's a short-term solution for now that guarantees our safety. Okay?" I sighed but gave in. It's true that I didn't need it, but it was a part of me that made me different, without it I was just a purposeless ghost.
"Okay. What are we going to do today?"

Rapunzel's P.O. V
Jack wasn't half bad. Sure he was vexing and had an arrogant air about him. But... there was something else in the way he spoke with us...
We had discussed what courses of action to take but there weren't that many that would help our situation and by the time the Sun reached overhead we were all restless!
Merida was munching away on a chicken leg at the table; Hiccup stayed with her guarding Jack's staff; Jack was moping somewhere in my hair occasionally whispering to himself; and I was painting again. This was until Jack let out a gasp and fell out of a hair hammock. We turned round to look at the commotion he had caused.
"Great!" He said, "now I have your atttention, I think we should play a game!"
Merida rolled her eyes and turned back to the table whilst Jack sauntered over to her. He glanced up at me and winked, I shook my head urgently; whatever he was going to do was not going to be fun.
But it turns out fun was exactly what it was.
Jack crept up on Merida, raised his hands that held a rag from somewhere, and tied the rag around Merida's head, covering her eyes. She struggled to get it off meanwhile Jack jumped over the table and snatched his staff quickly sending a flurry of snow towards Merida.
"Come and get me, ya wee lass!" He shouted in a truly awful Scottish accent, then ran towards her ducking beneath her flailing arms.
"I'm going to murder you, Frost!" She shouted back, though clearly she'd decided to go along with it. She began to run at Hiccup, despite him not being her target, smiling gleefully as she body-slammed him to the floor. Naturally she apologised when she took off the blindfold but still argued that it was Hiccup's turn and ran away.
Looking up, I noticed Jack grinning. I would have told him to give me his staff but the moment was too good and I didn't think he was capable of harming us. He caught me looking, winked, then threw a snowball at Hiccup.----=----
That's how they entertained themselves that afternoon. Having forgotten the conditions of Jack's innocence they ran around the room with complete abandon, taunting whoever was blindfolded with jeers and snowballs. By the time the Sun had passed overhead, they were exhausted but still animated, telling jokes and anecdotes about their lives with enthusiasm, a characteristic that had lacked from their previous conversations. It seemed as though discovering Jack Frost had been the final piece of the puzzle.
But as they drifted off to sleep that night, thinking about laughter and finding their prison far more bearable, little did they know that with one puzzle completed, another challenge was about to arise...
