I own nothing and no one apart from ' the pheonix girl '.

Cassy Dumbledore P. O. V.

After a few weeks of class work and pranking, I went to talk to Uncle Albus. He was getting extremely worried. Some of the Slytherin students in our year had obvious aims in joining Voldermort, the new dark Lord.
Some of them, including my previous best friend Severus Snape, we're very clever and could practice occlumensy. If they read Remus' mind and found out that I was a pheonix child and told Voldermort, I would be in big trouble.
I sat in Dumbledore's office with my pheonix mother.
Eventually Dumbledore came to a conclusion.
"You have only told Remus, yes?" He asked and I nodded.
"I'm afraid we will have to obliviate him." Uncle Albus said and I sighed.
"It is for the best." He said and I nodded again.
"Please go tell him that I want to speak to him." Uncle Albus said and I left.
I went and got Remus and told him that the headmaster wanted him.
When he came back he looked slightly vacant and went straight up to his dorm. Molly was with Arthur, Peter had to catch up with all the homework he had to do and Lily and James were on a 'stroll' round the grounds, James showing off his invisibility cloak.
I just sat staring into the fire with Sirius next to me.
"What's your favourite colour?" He said abruptly.
I stared at him.
"Red, why?"
"What are your favourite flowers?" He questioned.
I frowned, confusedly and said, "Roses."
"Oh. And your favourite animal?"
"Pheonix, and yours?" I said.
"A dog." Sirius said. Of course I knew that because it was his animagus. I knew because Remus told me that they were helping him as a werewolf and I needed to stay quiet about me being a pheonix child.
"And your favourite drink?"
"Butterbeer"
"Favourite teacher?"
"McGonnagal, why are you asking these questions"
"Just wondering." He said. "What's your favourite element?"
"fire."
"When's your birthday?"
"23rd of August"
"What's your favourite gem stone?"
"Ruby"
"Favourite smell."
"Why?"
"Just wondering, what is it?"
"Fumes of smoldering wood." I said, trying to explain how amazing that smell really was.
"Do you like flying?"
"Love it." I laughed, "It feels natural to me."
There was a long pause.
"Do you want to go flying tomorrow?" Sirius asked me.
I frowned.
"With who?"
He rolled his eyes and said "Me"
"Yeah," I replied, "But who else?" I questioned.
"Well, err. Remus could come too." He said slowly.
"Yeah but what about your 'fan club'?" I asked him.
"What about them?"
"Don't you want them to come too?" I asked.
Suddenly he got defensive, "Have you seen me with any girls this year so far?" He asked and I had to admit to myself that I hadn't.
"Well I'll think about it." I told Sirius, I didn't want him thinking that I was just going to leap to his side like all the other girls.
I got up and walked up to my dorm. I went to sleep but was woken up by Lily coming into the dorm at half one in the morning.
I sat up in bed and stared at her.
"What the hell are you doing, a prefect, out of bed, at one in the morning?" I whispered at her.
She giggled quietly in a strange way and I rolled my eyes. I suspected that James would also be creeping back to his dorm at the same time.
"Shh!" She whispered and she grinned.
"Ah... whatever" I sighed and flopped back down onto my bed and finally drifted into an undisturbed sleep.
