His piercing grey eyes stared across the room at me. I couldn't read the expression on his face. I never could.
I hadn't done anything wrong, but the way he was glaring at me made me think I did. I don't remember much of last night, and my headache was pounding. My ears were still ringing from the music blasting, but I could hear the ticking of the clock. His eyes were still locked on mine.
God, I loved those grey eyes. The way his dark brown russled hair fell on his head. The way his lips formed a straight line on his face. How his straight jawline was visibly clenched. I loved it all. Even if he was angry, he was still sexy.
I averted my eyes away, I couldn't take it, looking at the face that was so upset with me. I still had no idea why he was being like this. Why was my own boyfriend sitting across the room, instead of by my side? What did I do last night?
My heart was pounding, I could still feel Jaxon's eyes on me, like he was burning holes through the back of my head. I couldn't push myself to ask him what I had done, fearing the result of his anger building up a few feet away from me.
To get away from the situation, I quickly stood up walking to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and some pain killers. This hangover was the worst I've had yet. I thought to myself, replaying the night before.
*flashback*
I had gotten dressed at home, my sexiest party dress. A short, dark blue, sparkled, skin tight dress. I wore silver gemmed heels, that let my newly polished blue toe nails show. I straightened my long blond hair, which took forever. Next I put on my makeup, eyeliner, mascara that complimented my sky blue eyes, and lipgloss. I felt like a slut but who cares I was going out to have fun. I hopped in my car and drove about 15 minutes across town to Caleb's house. Caleb was my bestfriend, we had been attached at the hip since we met when we were five. He was a popular guy, but what can i say? He was my sexy bestfriend. His dirty blonde hair and his light green eyes made my heart pound. But I didn't have feeling for him. I couldn't. I pulled up the driveway, and I could hear the music booming. Surprisingly I was only the third person there. I walked in and sure enough, Caleb met me at the door step. I could already smell the alcohol on his breath. Not drunk yet but I could tell he had already downed a few beers.
He looked me over from head to toe and said, "Damn, Parker you lookin' fi-ine." He winked and I smiled back, feeling the heat rush to my face. I knew he was just joking around, but it still made me blush. He definitely took notice of my reddening cheeks.
Next person to arrive was Jaxon. He walked in the door, giving Caleb a high five and then came up behind me, grabbing my waist. He scared me a little but his arms around me instantly calmed my nerves. I turned around and kissed him, letting him know I was ready to party all night. He kissed me back, with more aggression than I had expected, but it turned me on because I knew he read my mind.
I walked over to the 'bar' and got Jaxon and I each a beer. I didn't really mind beer but its all he had tonight so I slammed one back -and grabbed another one.
"Woah there, Parker slow it down. We just got here." Jaxon said as he took a sip of his own.
"I wont have that many, I'll be okay" I said giving him a reassuring smile. He clearly bought it and dropped the subject.
He smiled back at me saying, "You better, because I'm not driving your drunk ass home!" giggling at the end.
"Fine!" I said playfully giving him the silent treatment, walking away.
He chased after me, picking me up and twirling me around. After he set me back down, I walked over to the couch, dizzily.
I sat down and listened to the music vibrating through the house, singing along to my favorite songs when Caleb asked me to dance. I was kind of shocked. I'd never the word dance come out of Caleb's mouth before. He hated dancing. Maybe it was just the alcohol talking.
