The girl that led me in had jet black hair, hazel eyes and broad shoulders that made her look manly. She stared me down while i was making my way in to the house. It was dark, but got lighter when I stepped into his room. I still didn't know why this girl was here and why Caleb was acting weird.

Knocking on the door frame quietly, I could see his body jolt awake under the covers. His arm was still hanging off the bed but I knew he was awake now. There were empty beer bottles and cans everywhere, covering the floor. I dragged my feet across the floor, purposely kicking around the mess. Caleb's head popped out of the top of his blanket, revealing his half open eyes. I was still so confused.

"Get up butthead its like 5pm." I said jokingly. "Isn't it time for your dinner?"

"No." He said in a monotonous tone. "Why are you here?" This time whining the question.

"Because I wanted to hang out, Jaxon is at work." I waited until he sat up to continue. "Who is she?" I started again, pointing at the girl who led me in.

"Who? No one is home but me?" He looked confused.

She peeked her head in the doorway, clearly she was eavesdropping.

"Oh, I don't know. I think I might have slept with her." He smiled giving a little chuckle. He really didn't know her name but by the smirk on his face, I knew he definitely remembered sleeping with her.

"Nice. Why did she creepily escort me into my own bestfriends house?" I gave a weak half smile and awkwardly laughed a little.

"Now that I really don't know..." He trailed off, looking confused again. "Can you make her leave? She's making me uncomfortable"

"I can try" I said, getting off of his bed and walking to the door. I could see her waiting on the couch. What should I say to make her leave?

"Hey uhm... Can I talk to you?" I started, hoping she would get my message. "Can Caleb and I have some time alone? You can go home". I say avoiding eye contact.

With that she gathered her things and shut the door behind her. Well that was easy, I think to myself, walking back to Caleb's room.

"Now get your lazy ass out of bed!" I said with a grin, shaking the mattress around.

He just glared back at me. It was bothering me that I didn't know why he was like this. So I asked.

"What's your problem today?" simply asking him.

"Nothing, why?" He seemed really dazed today and he wasn't even hungover anymore.

"Your house is still trashed and its 5pm and you're still sleeping? And who ever that girl was, was awkwardly staying in your house and like protecting you or something.."

"She was freaking me out a little, I don't know why I slept with her.." He said with regret in his voice.

Caleb still hadn't gotten out of bed by 5:30 and I didn't really want to hangout unless he fully woke up. He was boring when he wasn't fully awake. We sat in silence for a few minutes when I heard his stomach grumble with hunger. I stood up and walked out of the room not telling him where I was off to.

I made my way into his kitchen looking around for something to make him. I knew he liked certain things but the only thing left in his kitchen was 4 cans of beer and bread. Seeing that he had no food, I pulled out my phone and dialed the number for Chinese takeout.

I ordered us both a meal and it arrived at 6. He didn't know I ordered food and when the door bell rang he screamed from his bed, "Who's here Parker!?" his voice traveling down the length of the hallway.

"Food Caleb. Chill out" I said carefully holding the food and handing the delivery guy the money. The aroma filled my nose and I realized how hungry I was. Caleb inhaled the scent that he could smell from his room and hopped out of bed. You could hear his excitement as he rushed down the hallway towards the kitchen.

"I ordered your favorite" I said giving him a warm smile. His eyes were wide and he smiled back, the first real smile of the day.

Jaxon was coming home at 9 o'clock tonight so I still had time to spend with Caleb. We shoveled in the Chinese food and after we finished, we sat there in silence as we started to realize we shouldn't have eaten it all so fast.

Caleb and I both looked at eachother and thought the same thing. Scary movie time! We picked out a horror movie and put it in the DVD player. Sitting on his couch, I reached over and grabbed Caleb's hand. Caleb and I had a special bestfriend relationship that we could do things that other bestfriends wouldn't. Like holding hands during a scary movie. It wasn't in a serious loving way it was more of a 'I'm about to shit my pants because of this scary movie' holding hands way.

I grabbed the remote and hit play, shielding my eyes as the movie started. Horror movies scared me but I loved the adrenaline.
