Our knuckles were white as a ghost from squeezing so tightly, and by the end of the movie there was popcorn thrown all over. I loved spending timewith Caleb. I always had fun with him. I needed fun in my life. As Caleb pulled the DVD out of the player, I took a quick glance at my watch. It was around 8:30 and I realized Jaxon would be home soon. I explained this to Caleb and he nodded. I really didn't want to leave since I was having fun, but I didnt want to be questioned by Jaxon. I stood up and picked up my bag from his kitchen table, making sure I hadn't forgotten anything before I left. I had everything, so I turned around to Caleb, gave him a huge hug and opened the front door. Rushing out to my car in the 44° weather, I jumped in and started it up, cranking the heat up to high.

Caleb was looking out his window and I waved goodbye, as I put the car in reverse and backed down the driveway. I just remembered that I never figured out why he was acting so different. I totally forgot about that as soon as we started the movie. Maybe he was just lonely and I helped by hanging out with him. I would probably never figure it out. Which bothered me.

I managed to make my way back across town to my house in ten minutes, with about five minutes left to spare before Jaxon came home. I was twirling my lanyard around my index finger and walked up my driveway and to the front door. I flipped my lanyard into the air a few inches, so I caught the keys when it fell back down. I put the key in the lock and turned it, pushing the door open into the darkness of my house. I hated coming home to an empty house, it freaked me out. Good thing Jaxon would be home soon. After I put my bag down I realized I had left my straightener on. Whoops. I looked into the mirror, seeing that my hair was frizzy. I ran the straightener over my hair quickly and turned it off. I went back downstairs, waiting for Jaxon to come home. I stared at the clock wathing the minutes pass. Jaxon should've been home already. It was now 10:50 and I was worried.. Where could he be?

About twenty minutes after 11, Jaxon's truck lights flashed in my living room window. I had the Tv on but not paying attention to whatever show was on the screen. The garage door was slowly opening, shaking the house a little. Jaxon came in through the door quietly and I turned my head to see he was carrying something in. It was little, smaller than a cat but bigger than a kitten and he made sure he was carefully holding it close to his chest. I could see his brown hair was ruffled and his piercing grey eyes were reflecting the light from across the room. I stood up, moving closer to Jaxon, investigating the object he was holding. The closer I got the more I could make it out. As I placed myself directly in front of Jaxon I saw the object had moved and it had fur. Instantly I knew Jaxon had brought home a puppy.

"Awwwww!!!! Jaxon!!!! I love it!" I exclaimed, waking up the puppy. "Where did you get it!?" I was practically jumping up and down.

"I found a litter or them on the side of the highway on the way home, I took the other to a shelter and brought one home for us, that's why I was so late coming home." I could hear the happiness in his tone. He really wanted a puppy too. It think it was half husky and half wolf. I guess a Husky-Wolf mix. A stray husky must have roamed into the woods and lived with the wolves. It was dark grey and white with stunningly gorgeous blue eyes. I loved it. This dog was beautiful.

"Is it a boy or girl?" I asked, eager to name it. I had always wanted a dog, especially a husky. And coming from Jaxon made it the best gift of all.

"It's a boy" He said. He knew I wanted a boy dog! I love that he remembered that. We hadn't talked about getting a dog since we first met last year.

"Jaxon! You remembered!" I shouted, "What should we name him?!" I was smiling from cheek to cheek. A list of names blinked through my mind.

"I was thinking... Muki" he said, "It means sweet and gentle in some language I cant pronounce. Haha, It's unique and it fits him."

"I love it!" I said, "It's perfect."

Muki was our little baby. He would follow us around, always nipping at our pants and shoes. But we loved him, he was the newest addition to our house. We had just gotten him so Jaxon and I drove to the local super market and bought some puppy chow, along with a food and water bowl.

Bringing the food in was Jaxon's job, it was heavy. He set it down next to the food and water bowls I brought in. Muki was anxiously waiting at out feet as we filled the bowls. He took a few bites and quickly was distracted but a light reflection shining on the wall.

My day had gone from terrible to amazing in less than 12 hours. I started with a hangover and horrible headache, spent hours alone, went to Caleb's and ended up with a puppy and a perfect boyfriend. Perfect day. Jaxon and I fell asleep together with Muki cuddling in right between us.

Waking up next to my boyfriend and my new puppy was great! My new cuddle buddies. I slept for a long time, well, more than usual. My eyes shot open and I was awake, I didn't want to be. I rubbed out the sleep in my eyes, and when I turned over, I looked at Jaxon and Muki, seeing the cutest thing ever. They were cuddling together and looked so sweet.

Suddenly the front door encountered a severe pounding. Who could interrupt such an adorable moment? I ignored it for a minute. Whoever it was, pounded so hard I thought the door broke.

Who was it?!
