Garcia set two dishes on the table. "Voila!!" she said, "My famous vegan lasagna!" "Mmm, looks amazing!" Kevin said, rubbing his hands together and picking up his fork and knife. Garcia sat down and the two ate and talked about there day. When they finished eating Garcia brought out a peach cobbler and they shared it right out of the pan. "Where on earth did you learn to make this? It's probably the best thing I've ever had." asked Kevin. "Derek's mom makes the most AMAZING cobbler so I had to get the recipe last time I saw her. She-" "What?" said Kevin, with a shocked and disturbed look on his face. "Wha..." began Garcia, getting the feeling that something was obviously wrong. "You've met Morgan's mom?!" Kevin demanded. "Well, yeah, bu-" "You wouldn't meet my mom!" "But Morgan invited me down just to say hi to his sisters and her, it was no big deal. I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I-" "You wouldn't even meet my brother. You said it made our relationship too real," Kevin said, despair in his tone. "I know but with Derek it's just different." "How? Penelope, how is it AT ALL different?" Kevin stood up and pushed the table away from him knocking an empty wine glass shattering to the floor along with a fork and some flower petals that Garcia had scattered over the table. Garcia jumped up in anger, her face bright red and her fists clenched "BECAUSE, Morgan and I are not DATING!" she screamed. Kevin took a step back, looking at Garcia in shock. After a moment spent composing himself and looking around at the shattered glass and food covered silverware on the floor, Kevin looked up at her and said "Are you sure about that Penelope? Because I'm not so sure anymore."  He stepped over the mess and made his way towards the door, grabbed his coat off the rack, pulled the door open, and looked back at Garcia. Her face showed so much pain. Her skin, still bright red, was crinkled around her eyes and her lips as she bit them, trying to hold back tears. Kevin opened his mouth as if he was about to say something, and Garcia noticed the almost apologetic nature of his eyes, but he quickly put his head down. When he looked back up, he had collected himself, and his face was stone cold. Standing in the doorway, he pulled the door shut with all his strength. A few books fell and Kevin heard them drop as he walked slowly down the hall and back to his car. Inside, Garcia felt tears begin to stream down her face. She lost control of her mouth as she let the sobs roll out. She grabbed a bottle of wine and used it to prevent the noises she could no longer control and to help her forget the fight with the man she loved.
