*Tyler's POV*

A few days passed, and I stayed home with Kayla and left hardly at all. We had all decided I stayed out of the studio until I was better. I guess it worked out better not to stress myself out. I didn't need a repeat of that day anyway.

We'd also decided I should move in with her and Jenna since my place was wrecked after her brother's rampage anyway. I'd packed my shit, and I sent the rest of it to storage so I could sell the house as fast as I possibly could. No more living alone. After everything, I liked being able to look after my girls. I could protect them better if I was around. I mean, I still wasn't a fighter, but I could handle some people.

Just not giant dudes who could pick me up with a finger. I don't really mess with that shit unless I absolutely had to. Like Dylan, he was huge, but he fought stupidly when he was drunk. Her brother, on the other hand, who was a tall, muscular freak of nature could probably easily kick my ass every time.

I just would never admit it.

This shows that rock/nu metal singers really aren't all tough satan worshippers. We can be fabulous, short men who just happen to fall into that scene. For the record, most guys in bands that I knew were softies.

Take that Internet haters.

Anyway, I was basically all moved in which worked out not only in that way, but it made Kay feel less guilty about not being able to pay the bills. That was nice.

It was a Saturday morning, and that day, Kay had a jury duty summons thing. I laughed my ass off at first when I found out since no one wants jury duty. She was practicing saying the wrong things so she wouldn't get selected all up until that day which also was hilarious.

That left Jenna and I alone together for the first time, something I was both nervous and excited about. I had to prove that I could handle that responsibility while she was away for the day.

How hard could watching a seven year old be?

I woke up extra early so I could make food for the kid before she woke up. Kayla had left about an hour ago, so it was up to me officially now. The damn cat, though, had to be a pain in the ass that morning. It kept meowing at me loud as fuck even after I fed the damn thing.

"Oh my god Axel shut the f-" I began until I saw Jenna come out of her room,"Front door, haha. Morning, Jenna."

"Morning," she yawned,"Where's Aunt Kayla?"

"Oh she has things to deal with today, so you're with me."

"What kind of things?"

"She's got jury duty," I chuckled. It was better her than me. I had a bad habit of acting guilty even if I didn't do anything in front of cops and shit.

"What's that?"

"These people ask her questions to see if she's good enough to decide if a person is bad or not. We just hope she doesn't because it's really boring."

"Why does she have to do that?"

"It's just something adults have to do."

She skipped over next to me which was pretty cute.

"What are you making?" she asked innocently.

"Just some food," I said,"Why don't you see for yourself?"

"I can't see. I'm too small."

"I can fix that," I smiled as I picked her up and sat her on the empty counter beside me. She giggled and looked over.

"What is that?" she asked.

"Well right now, it's just butter melting. In a few minutes, there's gonna be some pancakes straight out of this mix set I bought since your uncle has no idea how to make this without a mix."
