A/N: Hey guys :) I already wrote up this chapter but just as I was about to click upload my computer froze and it all got deleter :( But I wrote it again and this time I have it saved just in case. On the bright side I had a really good day yesterday. I got the train to visit some friends and we started talking to some American tourists. They were really nice and they were from Michigan (don't know how to spell it). They say my name like 'Terra'. Its way cool :). Anyway, I tried to make this chapter a bit longer because the last one was really short except I don't actually know how long it is going to be. I guess I will just cross my fingers and hope for the best XD.

Okay so I think that is a long enough note so here we go..

Chapter 4.

I spent the whole weekend trotting up and down my bedroom floor in my new high heels. I fell so many times I lost count but by Sunday evening I was able to make a decent attempt at walking without tripping and breaking my neck. In fact, I had become so brave that I even tried to walk down the stairs in them and, to my great surprise; I didn’t fall flat on my face.

‘Oh wow, I love the shoes Kar. You look so tall.’ My mom exclaimed as I walked into the kitchen. I walked around the table like a model on a catwalk and twirled around to give her a full view of my shoes.

‘I know. I absolutely adore them. I can even walk without breaking an ankle!’ I replied. She laughed her wonderful, musical laugh and smiled at me.

‘You must be starving dear. You barely touched your breakfast and you were out running when we had lunch.’ She stated sounding concerned. I wasn’t quite sure how to respond so I settled for a nod instead. A nod was good. It wasn’t really an answer so I guess it wasn’t a lie.

‘Are you hungry?’ she asked. Obviously noticing I didn’t really answer her question.

Yes. ‘No, I’m okay.’ I answered.

‘Want me to make you something to eat?’

Yes. ‘No, really mom I am fine.’ I laughed, brushing off her question and trying to make the concerned look disappear from her face.

I was really hungry but I knew that if I wanted to be thin I couldn’t be so easily tempted. I reminded myself why I was doing what I was doing. It took all of my will power but I managed to turn around and I strutted back upstairs to my bedroom to continue my practice.

After another hour of walking up and down my room and when my feet felt like they were ready to fall off, I took a break and sat down on my bed.

My bedroom was very plain to tell the truth. The walls were painted in neutral shades of beige and cream. There was a single bed with white sheets and a small pine dresser. Other than that my room was very empty. It looked more like a room in a hospital than the room of a teenage girl but I was used to it. I looked around and mentally added ‘redecorate bedroom’ to my list and I picked up my phone.

I had a few new messages, mainly from Lily asking about assignments. Lily was the kind of girl who was going to be one of the most successful people of our generation in the future but at that time, she was just a freak to everyone who didn’t know her. I wouldn’t say we were very close. Don’t get me wrong, my friends were great but I have always felt like I don’t fit in with them. Like there’s a joke I’m missing out on.

I opened the first message and it read:
