Today earlier in the treehouse, Gordie, Chris, Teddy, Vern, and you agreed to meet up in a bit to go camping for the rest of the day and night.
Teddy told us all to bring a bathing suit because there was a good chance that we might go swimming.
At home you put on a purple bikini and wear a light blue tee and short jean shorts over it. You walk outside and meet up with the guys. You happen to end up next to Chris. Your arms brush against each other a few times and each time he looks at you and smiles. This makes your heart flutter a bit because you've harbored quite the crush for him.
"So where exactly are we going?" You say to no one in particular.
Gordie answers you. "We have a place. You'll see."
You all continue to walk and chat for a good 10 minutes until you happen upon a medium sized creek. Teddy and Vern try to set up the tent. Vern has no idea how to so Teddy ends up doing it himself. We put our camping stuff in the tent. "Now what?" You ask.
Teddy walks over to you and says, "Now you take this off," while slightly lifting the end of your tee shirt. As Teddy walks away, Chris seems to glare at him for a few seconds then looks at you. You notice this and smile at each other.
As you took your shirt and shorts off, of course all the guys stared. You didn't mind the affection, but sometimes it did bother you. As you turned to look at the guys, they all snapped their heads away to try and seem like they were looking at something else. You'd never seen the guys without their shirts off until now. You were surprised by how good they looked. Especially Chris. Woah. You snap out of your thoughts and say, "Well, is anyone gonna go in?" You jump into the water and soon the boys follow. You all splash around and splash each other. Then Teddy announces that a swimming race was in order. Vern decided that he didn't want to race and would be the judge. First one to reach Vern was the winner. Gordie and Teddy raced first. They were pretty neck to neck for about half of the race, until Gordie sped up. Teddy tried to catch up, but it was no use. Everyone was screaming. "Go Gordie!!" "Cmon, Teddy, you can do it!" You were almost sure it would be a tie when Gordie did end up victorious. Teddy took great embarrassment in his failure. He sulked for about 5 seconds then returned to normal after realizing that our race was next.
Chris and you got prepared to swim for our lives. You both looked at each other with determination in our eyes. At least you thought so. Oh whatever. "Maybe I'll go easy on you, (y/n)" "Or maybe I'll do just that for you."
Vern said, "Ready! Set! Go!" And we were off. He was ahead of me for a good part of the race until he started to slow down because he hadn't paced himself. You were gaining on him and soon ahead. He got closer but was too late. Fore you had already past Vern. You cheered in victory as Chris stomped over to you, as much as one could in water. You pointed at him and laughed. "So did you go easy on me Chambers?" You laughed even louder. Before you knew it, he tackled you and you both fell under the water. His strong arms were around you and remained there as the two of you rose to the surface. Your body's were pressed against one another and you were trapped in those arms. Oh, how you wished that you could just stay here forever. He looked in your eyes and you looked in his. He moved a piece of your hair out of your face and you two just stayed there for a minute. That was until you both noticed that everyone was just staring at you. He released you as Teddy said, "Its getting dark, we better get out."
You all hoped out, got changed into dry clothes and sat around the campfire. Chris sat down by me, and rather close too. But you didn't care.
"Oh, look who sat by each other," Teddy said. "Mr. and Mrs.Chambers, go figure."
Chris and you looked at each other, both of our faces got red. "Don't listen to Teddy," Chris said to me. "He's a dumbass."
"Oh look who's talking!" Teddy replied. "You're just trying to hide that you like her." Chris' face became red as a tomato. "It's so obvious, can't you guys see?" He turned to Gordie and Vern for a response, but they remained silent.
"What's it to you?" You began. "Why do you care?" This took him by surprise.
"We should probably go to bed now," Gordie said, trying to break the tension. Everyone left, and you just stayed by the fire. Was what Teddy said really true? You couldn't help but wonder. The guy that you had drooled over likes you? No, you couldn't believe that.
Chris came over and sat down by you. "Hey, I'm sorry about Teddy. He can be like that sometimes. Hey, listen. There's...uh...something I need to tell you."
I looked at him. "Shoot."
He looked at you and then back at the fire. "Well, um...let me see how to put this. Uh well, what Teddy said... You know when we were in the creek...um, well for a while now-"
You cut him off by pressing your lips to his. It only lasted a few seconds. The two of you just looked at each other for moment until he kissed you back. It lasted longer this time, interrupted by the sound of three pairs of feet.
Teddy took his cigarette out just to say, "Finally."
