It was a hot summer day, days you spent with Gordie,Chris,Teddy, and Vern, your best friends. Usually all of you spend the day together, but everyone else was busy, so it was just you and Chris today. He thought it would be boring just sitting in the treehouse, so you both went walking on the tracks.
You were nervous to be alone with Chris, since you had a giant crush on him. You were pretty sure that none of the guys knew, and you intended to keep it that way.
"Hey, (y/n), how long do you wanna walk on the tracks for?"
"I don't know, Chris. Maybe all day, or maybe until it gets boring."
"Yeah, I suppose."
It was kinda awkward, you just didn't know what to talk about with him. The other guys, you made conversation with them easily. But when it comes to Chris, you froze up. You just wish it would be easier.
The silence continued until you heard some people laughing and talking.
"Hey do you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"There's people coming this way, do you hear them?" You pointed in the direction.
"Yeah, I do."
"Shit Chris, what do we do?"
He thought for a moment. "Here, follow me." The two of you quietly crept into the woods behind a tree. You were side by side when the voices got louder. "The tree's not wide enough, they'll see us." You whispered.
Suddenly, he was in front of you, each hand on either side of you, pressed against you as much as he could. You were about to say something, but he just put a finger to your mouth.
The voices got closer and closer, now on the tracks by the two of you. You could tell by the voices that they were Ace, Eyeball, and a few other members of the Cobras.
You were in the clear when Chris accidentally stepped on a branch. They all stopped. "Did you guys hear that?" Ace asked. You thought for sure you were busted.
"Cmon Ace, it's probably just an animal like a raccoon of something."
"No, someone is behind there." He stepped closer to the tree. "Come on out, we won't bite." They all chuckled. "Come on now."
Chris and you stayed as quiet as you could possibly be. You shut your eyes, just hoping that when you opened them, he would go away."
Ace stepped closer and closer until Eyeball called out, "cmon Ace, it's not worth it! Let's go already!"
"All right all right I'm coming." He walked back to the track and they were gone.
He relaxed a little, but Chris didn't budge. "Wow that was really close, I can't believe we didn't get caught." But he didn't respond, he just stared into your eyes. You mumbled on but you got the same reaction again and again.
"Uh Chris, are you alright? Are you going to move or are we just gonna stay here forever?"
His expression didn't change,"Let's just stay here forever. Just you and me."
This took you by surprise. What did he mean?
"Umm, Chris. What do -"
"Let's just stay here forever and ever. The two of us. Cmon (y/n) let's just stay here."
"Alright, Chris, you're kinda freaking me out right now. You tried to get him to budge but he wouldn't.
He pressed against you stronger than before and looked in your eyes for one last moment before smashing his lips into yours. You were taken by surprise at first, but then you kissed back. It seemed to last and last, and you wanted to just stay here forever and ever.
Eventually you two stopped and he stepped back, but his arms were still on either side of you.
"Hey yeah, (y/n), I've been meaning to tell you something for sometime now."
"Hmm, let me guess. You like me?"
"Bingo."
"You know, I've been meaning to tell you that very same thing as well."
"We're you really gonna tell me?"
"Honestly, no probably not. I didn't think you would like me."
He paused. "Now why wouldn't I like you. You're amazing (y/n) and I want you to be my girl."
"Seriously?"
"No, that kiss was fake and I was lying the whole time. Of course I'm serious."
You smiled at his sarcasm. "Okay, I'll be your girl."
He smiled and kissed you again.
You both walked back to the tracks, hand in hand. "So..."
"So what?"
"Bored yet?"
"Not even close."
