You, Gordie, Chris, Teddy, and Vern were off looking for the body of Ray Brower. You guys had already experienced so much: Encountering the man from the junk yard and his dog Chopper, Gordie and Vern almost dying from coming so close to getting hit by a train, and things to come you all had no idea about.
Now it was night time. You all had recovered from the train incident, had already ate and were sleeping now, taking shifts on guarding you five. It was now your shift.
Things were pretty quite for the most part, sounds from the woods every now and then. You were starting to drift asleep when you heard someone crunch branches beside you. You quickly panicked, jerked your eyes open, and pointed the gun in the direction of the noise. "Woah, hold up. Don't shoot, I surrender." Chris laughs and holds up his hands in defeat. You lowered the gun.
"Jesus, you scared me to death Chambers!"
He chuckled and sat down beside you. You just looked at the ground as you could feel Chris' eyes staring at you. "Can I help you with anything?"
"Well every man has needs a woman can help him with." He smirked.
You glared at him. "You wish, Chambers."
You both looked away and blushed. "You know I'm just joking with you, (Y/N)."
"Yeah I know."
This was especially awkward for you since you had always had a crush on Chris. All the other guys were like brothers than you, but you always liked Chris a little different than them. You always harbored it though because you didn't want to ruin the friendship you had with him. And if, by chance, you guys did date and eventually break up, you feared that none of the guys would want you to hang out with them anymore. Which was very bad in your case because they happened to be your only friends. They would never do that to you, but you thought it was possible.
Little did you know, Chris felt the same way about you. He had always admired you but feared you would reject him and leave things horribly awkward between you. But he couldn't keep this secret any longer. All the guy already knew and were starting to give it away. He knew this would be his only chance, while the guys were asleep, to tell you before they did.
"So why aren't you asleep, Chris?"
He didn't respond for a moment. "Well, it's kinda hard to sleep, with what's going on. I mean, we're gonna find a dead kids body tomorrow."
"Yeah, I've seen a lot of tossing and turning tonight. I think the only reason anyone is sleeping is out of pure exhaustion."
A few minutes pass, just you two sitting by each other in silence. It was a nice silence though, not uncomfortable. Then Chris spoke again, "Well, there is another reason."
"And what would that be."
He would look at you and then away again, unsure on how he should continue.
"What is it, Chris?"
He hesitated. "Umm, well there, there is something I've been meaning to tell you."
"And?"
All of a sudden, you saw him lean forward and felt his soft lips press against yours. You pulled away in shock, eyes wide staring at him.
"I kinda like you."
"Kinda?"
"Well, I really like you. And it's obvious that you don't feel the same way." He looked away from you, shaking his head in embarrassment, face flushed red.
You stuttered quite a bit before you could find the right words. "Hey Chris?" He remained looking away. "Cmon Chris, don't do this. Talk to me. I'm sorry I responded like that."
He remained silent and looking away from you.
"Chris? Look at me. Look at me, Chris."
He was persistent, refusing to look at you. You had to do something to get his attention.
It was rash and probably the most ridiculous thing you had ever thunk of before, but why the hell not.
He pressed your lips to his neck and retreated immediately, almost regretting the decision but knowing it would get his attention.
He snapped his head toward you, this time he was in shock and eyes wide. "Why'd you do that."
"Because I like you too."
He relaxed now and even smiled. This time, more confident, he pressed his lips to yours with more force than the before. You kissed back this time. You couldn't believe it, the boy of your dreams liked you back and you were currently kissing him. It seemed too good to be true.
You both pulled away and smiled. Just then both of you felt eyes on the pair of you. You both looked toward the fire and saw Gordie, Teddy, and Vern all looking, wide eyed, at you two. Both of your faces grew red in embarrassment.
Teddy scoffed. "Finally."
Well I published this without going over it, so sorry for any mistakes.
Also, I know most twelve year olds don't like make out with people, but Chris isn't like most twelve year olds 😏 lol jk.
But dude he would have been a freaking Casanova if it wasn't for his family's reputation. Also, keep in mind that River was either fifteen or sixteen while filming SBM sooooo
