It's been a few days since the dinner date with Twiggy, and since then, David really couldn't stop thinking about her. He never had anyone compliment his eyes before, especially like that. He never did like his eye, it was a reminder of how stupid he was in his youth. But to hear her say that really touched him. He knew there was something genuine about her. She was most certainly more than a supermodel, and he wondered if she thought of him as more than a rockstar. He hoped so.

"Well I like it. I feel like if you still had two normal eyes you'd be too perfect..."

For her to imply that she thinks he's perfect...does she really? Does she have feelings for him, in the way he might for her?

"If she said that about your eye, I think she has a thing for you, man." Said Mick Ronson, David's guitarist and good friend. David invited him over to visit, and get some friendly advice. Mick was probably the only one David could trust, with all the buzz that he's been dealing with since the start of his success. If it weren't for Mick, or the rest of The Spiders from Mars, David wouldn't be as big a star as he is now. And while he's very thankful to have finally gained attention after all his efforts before, it's quite overwhelming most of the time, as he explained with Twiggy the night of their date.

"I know, Rono, I know." David said, calling him by his pet name.

"Ask her out again, send her something else!" Said Mick.

"Oooh I don't want to nag the girl! Send her something else? That would seem desperate!" He said.

"Well I'm only trying to help! How else are you ever going to see her again?"

David picked up the first copy of Pin Ups he received from his record label and stared at the cover of it. "She was so nervous when we did this, but you'd never see it in her face." He said.

September 19th

Twiggy was enjoying herself on this particular day, because it was her birthday. She received many fan letters, and also birthday cards and phone calls from her family and friends. She usually goes to her childhood home and celebrates with her family, they throw her a little party with cake and a few presents, just like old times.

When Twiggy got home she saw a package leaned against her door, decorated like a present. It was large, flat, and shaped like a square. She picked it up and walked into her apartment room. She dropped her purse and began opening it. Then she gasped. It was David's copy of Pin Ups, he sent it to her as a surprise birthday present.

"Oh my God..." She said as she started to tear up. He chose the picture of her leaned against his shoulder. Out of every other pose they did he chose this one. When she looked at the back she noticed a little message that he wrote:

"Happy birthday Twigs, love David"

She loved it, it was the best birthday present she had ever been given. She didn't think he cared about her this much. Her heart began to flutter again. Once she got a shower and put on her pajamas she popped the album into the turntable and listened to it until she fell asleep.
