Daniella knew her brother. She was guessing that he was going to be super cliche, simulating that famous interrogation scene with the over hanging light in a dark, dark room while the victim sits in an uncomfortable chair. This is why she was utterly confused when he set a tall, icy looking glass of crystal clear water down on the coffee table before her, beads of condensation rolling down the sides. No room change, no lighting change, nothing. Everyone else has filed into the kitchen, likely keeping an eye on Phineas. She looked up expectantly at her brother. "What?"
"What do you mean what? Drink it. Aren't you thirsty?" Now that she thought about it, she was a little parched. Eying her sibling she began to reach for the cool, refreshing drink when suddenly Rosemary appeared. Startled, Daniella pulled back, clutching at her beating heart. "Gosh, Rose, you scared me!" She let out a chuckle but it disappeared when she noticed the tension in the room- or rather, her brother. Rose was entirely confused. She could feel it too, that something was wrong.
"Adam, what's going on?"
"Interrogation," Daniella answered. Adam didn't move a muscle, but he she wasn't looking at either women. Now uninterrupted, Danny continued for the glass. Rose's voice stopped her again.
"Interrogation? This isn't your usual set- up. Gone soft for your sis, eh?" She grinned, approaching the man and touching his shoulder playfully. "Adam?" She called when she got no response.
Realization then dawned on her face, quickly masked by indignation. She wilted and turned to Daniella, her bone ponytail wiping and her golden eyes flashing. "Put the glass down."
Daniella filed down, surprised to find herself nursing the beverage already. A slightly sour taste resided in her mouth as she out the cup down. She didn't understand what was wrong- had she offended the girl? She receded into the sofa.
"Rose-" Adam started, glancing at the woman as she began with, "I swear, Adam, if that's what I think it is I can't talk to you right now." He watched helplessly as she grabbed the glass and sniffed. Disgusted, she dropped the glass. Daniella wished it would have shattered, because maybe it would dispel the tension or at least attract the attention of the others. As it was, it fell to the ground with a pathetic thud, knocking over and spilling it across the floor where the carpet fibers began their task of absorbing the mess.
The next words out of Rosemary's mouth froze both Danny and Adam's hearts, each for different reasons. "I can not believe you."
Daniella, still in the dark, began to stand so she could sneak away. Unfortunately for her, though, Rise caught her by the wrist. "Where's Sam?"
"Rose-" Adam tried again fountain in his voice, but he was silenced by Rose's hand.
"Don't you 'Rose' me right now." Adam shut his mouth angrily and stormed to his room, slamming the door.
"He's, um, Sam should be in the kitchen with everyone else... And a visitor, a friend of mine named Phineas." Daniella squeaked meekly. Rosemary raised a brow but didn't ask any questions, instead knocking into the kitchen door.
"Sam, what the hell man?" Sam tried to look away guiltily but with that he earned himself a punch square in the jaw. "I swear to god man you do that again..." She trailed off as she spotted Phineas.
"Phin, take Daniella. Get her out of this house." Daniella almost let out an audible 'huh?', but refrained as he reached forward and grasped her arm. She gazed at his crazy dandelion colored eyes and wondered how she didn't see it before, but then realized that he must have thought the same when he found out about a week ago. His eyes made contact with hers and then she felt the same again she did when Adam had sent her home that once, except this time everything was tinged yellow instead of green. Daniella didn't notice when she closed her eyes, but when she opened then she was back home, sort of.
She and he stood inside of her old home unit, in the living room.
