NO ONE'S POINT OF VIEW
An ambulance and 3 cop cars surrounded Beca's vehicle. The car was completely smashed. The driver's side door was so bent in that they couldn't get Beca out.
"Where's the fire department? We have to cut the door off her now!" A cop yelled, analyzing the situation.
"We need a medic!" Called another.
"We have a female. Name, Beca Mitchell. Height, 5'2. Age, 23. Here at the corner of Beverly Road and Marcus. Female drove straight into traffic with 2 turning lanes. Needs immediate medical attention." One cop said into a radio, going through Beca's purse, reading her driver's license.
The entire intersection had been taped off. The car that had rammed into Beca was totaled, and the driver was already on their way to the hospital. Witnesses got out of their cars to view the horrible accident. Beca was still trapped in her car.
The fire department finally arrived. They had to cut the entire driver's side door off and part of the windshield frame, just so that they could get Beca out. Her body was limp, but she still had a pulse. The medics were unsure how critical her condition was, or how much longer she had. Beca was placed on a gurney and put into an ambulance. The nearest hospital was 15 minutes away. The 2 medics that were tending to Beca on the way, were describing the state of her condition into another radio. Beca's neck was in a brace, an oxygen mask covered her face, and a long IV was inside of her arm. There were burns along the left side of her face, from where the airbag had exploded. A large gash on her thigh, bled profusely, from where a piece of glass had been removed.
As soon as the ambulance reached the hospital, Beca was speedily rolled inside.
"Operating room, stat! Those cuts need to be closed now! There looks to be a gash on her head! Get her to the ICU!" A doctor roared, practically running alongside the stretcher that carried Beca's body. While the surgeons worked on Beca, a medic and a doctor talked quietly amongst themselves.
"How did this happen?" The doctor asked.
"The female drove straight when the left turn signal light turned green. A car making a left turn on the opposite side, drove straight into her." The medic replied.
"Wow. Lucky she's alive. She did have quite a head injury, according to the surgeon. They're closing it up right now."
"How do you think she'll recover, doc?"
"I believe she'll be fine... But I would call her family, just in case any of her injuries aren't as 'minor' as we thought."
"Got it, doc."
