"Can you please stop talking about it?" Jason snaps in irritation at Nightwing. He lights a cigarette, burning brightly on the snowy night. "It was ages ago."

"Try six days! Jason Todd, tamed by the great Venus Meadow," Dick chuckles, shaking his head. Jason rolls his eyes and turns around, leaning back against the fire escape.

"Todd, she is leagues above your standard," Damian murmurs from the level above them. Jason's glare slides up to him, then to Nightwing.

"Why the hell did you have to bring him?" 

"You know why," the oldest rolls his eyes. Dick goes back to grinning, shaking his head. "She calmed you down completely with one touch. You're softening up."

"Tt, it's pathetic," Damian adds. Jason snaps his head up to him.

"You turned into a normal teenager the moment you saw her you horny little shit."

"Your anger is misdirected," Damian says back. The quiver in his voice is obvious.

"If only Venus was here," Dick throws in quietly. Jason glares at him.

When the night is done, he takes his usual route home; via Venus' house. He sees she is awake and instead of drifting passed stops in.

He opens her window up easily and climbs through, making no sound. She grins at him, but keeps her mobile pressed to her ear.

"Well I told you; dye it brown no one will notice. It's a natural colour," she says. Jason walks over to the lounge and drops beside her.

He leans in to kiss her cheek but Venus moves so he gets her lips. Jason smiles into it and holds her face.

On the other end of the line, he can hear the high-pitched babbling of a girl. 

"Okay. O-...Okay. Call me again if there are any problems, alright? I love you Nolly," she finishes her conversation. It clicks in Jason's head that she is talking to her little sister.

She hangs up, before dropping her phone on the carpet and dramatically falling backwards onto the sofa, groaning with her arm over her eyes.

"What is it?"

"My sister usually comes to visit for Christmas and now my Dad's all 'I want to come too!' but every time he does he tries to take me back home with him. And worst of all he might try to kill you."

"I'm sure ev-" Jason automatically began his attempt at saying something nice, before what she had said registered. "Wait, kill me?"

"He's extremely overprotective. Some might say a little too much," Venus mumbles. She sits up again and wraps her arms around Jason's neck.n"Hi." Smiling, he pulls her closer and kisses her again, this time much deeper. "Come to check up on me?"

"Can't a guy visit his girlfriend every once in a while?"

"At 3am in the morning? Sure." Jason glances up at the clock on the wall, frowning. He had lost track of time. "All good, it's Friday," Venus reasons.

She jumps up and walks towards the kitchen.

"Thought about getting dogs yet?" Jason asks, settling back into the sofa.
