~ERZA'S POV~
It was back to school again, and I had been elected as Student Body President. I was sitting quietly in the front row in my classroom, my hands neatly folded on my desk. Since I was there, my classmates, including Natsu and Gray, were silent as well. Lucy, who was sitting beside me, handed me a book. I grabbed it and whispered, "What's this?"
"You said you wanted to borrow the romance book I bought yesterday, right?"
"Oh...Y-Yes, that's right." I took the book and set it on my desk. "Thank you, Lucy."
She smiled at me before proceeding to write her novel. She always uses her free time to write. I glanced at the cover of the book. The book was entitled "Kiss You". I checked my watch. It was ten minutes 'til class, so I decided to read the first few pages. Ten minutes later, Scorpio-sensei entered the room. I immediately closed the book and stashed it in my bag. I had read almost half of it. "Kiss You" was about a boy that had recently moved to a new town. The boy met a girl and after a few years, they became the best of friends. That was all I could read.
Scorpio-sensei sat down on his desk in the front of the room and said, "Alright, class, today we will be having a new student. He just transferred to Fairy Academy yesterday, so please show hospitality." Scorpio-sensei nodded at the door and a blue-haired boy walked in. I examined him. He had some sort of tattoo on his right eye. His bag was slung over only one shoulder and he had his hands buried in his pockets. I frowned. This was unacceptable. "Class, meet Jellal Fernandes. Our student body president, Miss Scarlet, will brief you on how things work around our school outside."
I groaned silently and Scorpio-sensei motioned for us to go out. Once we were in the silent hallways, Jellal leaned on the wall. I crossed my arms and said, disappointed, "Mr. Fernandes, this is not the way you act in Fairy Academy. First of all who carries two-strap bags that way?"
Jellal glanced at his bag before scowling. Despite his disapproval towards me, he said in a calm tone, "Most teenagers?"
"Well, not around here. In Fairy Academy you are required to act just, you must observe proper health practices and show discipline and respect towards others. But most importantly..." I stepped closer to him and pointed a finger at his tattoo. "No tattoos." I stepped back and remarked, "If you know what's good for you, you better get that removed soon."
I walked past him and into the classroom. I heard him smirk. "Geez, Erza, so feisty....I like that." This caused me to stop in my tracks and my eyes to widen slightly. But I shook it off and sat back down. Jellal followed and he tossed his bag to the floor. Of course he decided to sit beside me. I scoffed and moved my chair away from him, and closer to Lucy. While Scorpio-sensei was teaching us about sand and I was taking down notes, Lucy leaned in. "Psst! Erza, what do you think of the new guy?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, is he...um...I dunno, charismatic, maybe?"
I laughed silently and scoffed. "Pfft. Jellal? Charismatic? That's the last thing he'll ever be. He's rebellious and disrespectful and..."
"And?"
"And he's not worthy of Fairy Academy!"
She laughed in disbelief. "Well, maybe you can shape him up."
