AUTHOR'S NOTE: Heyy guys! So I decided to get creative by casting my story! :) Only for Erza, Lucy, and Gray though. I think I found the perfect one for Lucy, but I know that the 'sweet-and-spice-and-everything-nice' Ariana doesn't exactly fit the 'super-scary-and-fearsome-yet-cool-and-awesome' Erza, but she was the best one I could find. LOGAN LERMAAAAN!! ~Ari <3

~NORMAL POV~

Erza and Lucy had their heads bent over the book. They had been scanning the pages of the book for two hours non-stop. Everytime Erza's eyes would flutter close, she would shake it off and refocus on the book. Finally Lucy landed on her back and said, "Ugh, I give up! Erza, we'll never find Skullette in that ridiculously thick book!"

"Come on, Lucy...We're almost, um...almost h-halfway there alr-ready..."

"Erza, that stupid book doesn't even have a table of contents! What book doesn't have a table of contents?!"

"Lucy, please...I just have to know how Jellal is related to Skullette..."

"It's not like the book's going to mention him! Skullette probably has thousands of students!"

Erza sighed in defeat. "Well, getting the book was your idea! I just have to know, at least a little information about Skullette Academy!"

"Well you can do that by yourself, Erza. It's like two in the morning, I'm going home before I get sick."

Erza simply watched her as Lucy grabbed her bag and walked outside. She glanced at the book again and slid a bookmark in before closing it. She decided to go to the 24-hour cafe nearby. She grabbed her jacket and brushed her hair before stepping out of her apartment building.

Erza walked in the silent and empty streets. The only light she had was the streetlights and tiny bulbs in stores. Then she stopped in front of a small hair salon. BluHair. Erza tilted her head at the store. Blue...Hair...Jellal...

When she realized that she was actually thinking of him, looked away and took a deep breath. She mumbled to herself, "Erza, calm down...You're just tired. You just need some coffee, that's all." Erza heard the door open and a small jingle. A man came out and said to her, "Hello, ma'am. Do you need a book?"

Erza forced a weak smile and replied, "No, thank you, I was just...I was just taking a walk..." Then she continued on her way. She finally arrived. She swung open the cafe doors and found a woman wiping glasses and mugs behind the counter. Erza sat down on a comfy chair in the far end of the cafe. The lady approached her, notepad and pen in hand. "What would you like, ma'am?"

Erza crossed her legs and leaned back. "I'll just have white hot chocolate." The lady nodded and went back behind the counter. Minutes later, she came back with the hot chocolate and a strawberry cake slice. Erza raised an eyebrow as the woman set the food down on the table. "Uhm...I didn't order a strawberry cake...As a matter of fact I didn't even know you had strawberry cake here."

"Oh, we don't, ma'am. That gentleman over there asked us to make one especially for you. It's already paid." She pointed to another table.

Erza didn't know there was somebody else in here. She tried to look at his face to see if he was someone she knew, but it was shady where he sat. The woman tucked the tray under her arm and left Erza there, staring at the seemingly scrumptious cake. She slowly reached for the fork and fiddled with the cake.

She felt someone lean against her chair and she looked up to see who it was. "J-Jellal?"

He smirked down at her. "Hey there, Mrs. Strawberry."

Erza furrowed her eyebrows as he sat down across her. "Did you tell them to make me this cake?"

"Yep."

"Why?"

"I thought it would be funny since your hair is the color of a strawberry, I call you Mrs Strawberry, and you're eating a strawberry cake."

Erza frowned. "You made this just so you could make fun of me?"

"Pretty much."

"Well, sorry to rain on you parade but I happen to love strawberry cake."

Jellal's smirk disappeared and Erza started to eat the cake. "Aww, man! Seriously?"

Erza stuck her tongue out at him and continued to eat. Surprisingly she was able to finish the cake in only a minute. Jellal laughed when she had finished. Erza shot him a death glare. "You don't care if I eat fast."

"That's...ha...That's not why I'm...hahaha...laughing, actually..."

"Huh? Then why?"

Jellal pointed at her. "You...You got a little something there..." He pointed at his own face, just beside his lips. Erza blushed and quickly started looking for a tissue. Jellal decided to help by taking out his hankerchief and leaning over. "Here, let me help." He wiped the cake away from Erza, and she froze. They were uncomfortably close. Well at least their faces were. Jellal looked up to meet her gaze and suddenly he felt like he was getting lost in her eyes.

They stared at each other for a few more seconds until they were interrupted. "Hey, guys!" They quickly pulled away and Jellal stashed his hankerchief in his pocket like nothing happened. The blond girl walked towards them. She pulled a chair out of the other table and sat down. "Erza, you could've told me that you were planning on coming here before I walked out on you earlier."

To be honest, Erza was almost disappointed in Lucy for interrupting them. Almost. She shrugged at Lucy. "I thought you were going to sleep."

"And Jellal, you're here too? Don't you two get any sleep?"

Jellal replied, "Trust me I get way more sleep than I'm supposed to." Lucy giggled upon hearing this. She sneakily inched closer to Jellal and put on a seemingly seductive smile. "So, Jellal, you come here often?"

Unfortunately, Erza wasn't able to resist the urge to roll her eyes. Had Lucy always been this...flirty? Poor Jellal was slightly freaked out by Lucy's sudden change of mood. One minute she was all happy and bubbly and the next she was...this. "Uhm...Yeah, I guess...I come here when I need a quiet place to think..." Lucy moved even closer. Erza was gripping her jacket so tightly she thought she would rip the fabric.

Lucy cooed, "Jellal, would you mind tutoring me in Math sometime? Maybe come over to my place?" That was quite enough for Erza. She abruptly stood up. "Excuse me, I have to go."

Jellal tried to stop her, of course. "What? Why?"

"I...um...I-I have to get some sleep..."

"But what about your hot chocolate?"

Before Erza walked out of the cafe, she gave one last glance at Jellal and Lucy. "You guys can share it. Thanks for the strawberry cake, Jellal." With that she closed the door and quickly cantered away from the cafe. Lucy said worriedly, "What do you think is wrong with Erza?" Jellal gave no reply and instead followed Erza with his eyes as she walked away.
