The months flew by and it was now August. It was Emalie's birthday and everyone that worked for S.H.I.E.L.D and STARK Industries, came to celebrate the hero's 17th birthday. Freya and Odin were standing up but holding onto the edge of the couch their parents sat on. They were looking around while they sucked on their pacifiers.

Thor moved the hair out of Freya's face letting her see better. "Eight months and they already can stand."

"Well we do have godly children." Xassic stated with a smile. "They can't walk yet but they are determined to." She leaned down and kissed Odin's head and giggled. "Isn't that right Odin?"

Odin whipped his head around to look at his mother. He then smiled and giggled bouncing up and down with delight. Freya looked at her twin brother and patted his face almost as to tell him stop you're embarrassing yourself.

Emalie walked over and looked at her sister with a blank looked. She looked calm on the outside but her sister knew something was wrong. "Xassic may I talk to you please. In private?"

Xassic looked at the babies then got up. "Of course. "

She and her sister went off into the hallway. Emalie sighed. "My baby is due any day now. And they won't be here when the baby is born. I want them to be. What should I do? Move it to another day?"

Xassic sighed and looked at her sister sadly but with seriousness. "Do what you think is right Emalie. Whatever you feel should happen."

Emalie nodded slowly. "You're right Xassic." Both girls headed back into the room and Emalie approached the boys. "Steve. Jack. I've decided to moved the day for when you get the fire. The day after the baby is born, is the day you go. Alright?"

Jack looked at Steve and Steve looked at him. They looked back at the small brunette starring at them waiting for an answer. "We were just talking about that." Steve explained with a small smile. "We would miss the birth of your child."

Jack nodded in agreement. "It's the right thing to do."

Emalie smiled and placed her hand on her somewhat large stomach. "I knew you guys would agree." She headed off to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Bruce strolled over to Xassic holding Odin. "Your sister is really gonna go through with this?" He asked the older and taller brunette.

"Yes. Of course she is." Xassic replied looking at him and taking the drooling baby boy from his arms. "Why would she not? Come on now Brucey. You have known my sister for 3 years now. And you know that when she puts something in motion, she's gonna go through with it no matter what it takes or the outcome."

Bruce chuckled lightly. "Yea. You're right. But she needs to relax and learn to be a teenager. Tell her not to waste her childhood on worrying about adult things and meaningless relationships."

"You're right. And I've tried but she always never ever listens to a word I say. I think she'd rather just be an adult now. She was so young when our mother died. And she was there when our father was killed in a car crash. I'm just lucky she only had minor scrapes and bruises."

"Car crash? You never said anything about your father and a car crash. How bad was it?"

"We don't ever talk about our father Bruce. Ever. He abused our mother and starved Emalie. But I'd sneak food to her at night when our father was asleep or at work or something." She sighed and looked at the ground. "I just hope Emalie chooses one of them soon and they don't hurt hurt. She's been through enough as a child."

At that every moment, they heard a glass break in the kitchen. Xassic set Odin down in a walker and rushed to the kitchen along with Bruce, Steve, Thor and Jack. It was a mess. Glass was shattered about the floor with a big puddle of water. Emalie was leaning against the counter clutching her stomach.
