Chapter Ten - Surprises

Emalie was sitting still as Jarvis made the scars of numbers on her arm go away almost like it was never there.

"Thanks Jarvis." Emalie said with a small smile as she looked up at the ceiling as if something was up there.

"It was my pleasure Miss Summers. Please, don't hesitate if you need anything from me. I'm sure Mister Stark wouldn't mind at all." Jarvis replied. "There is a presence co-"

"Okay Jarvis." Steve stated. "You don't need to tell her I'm here. I think she would know that when the elevator door opens and I call her name." He walked out of the elevator and walked over to his bride. "Are you alright?"

She giggled lightly and smiled as he helped her off the table. "I'm fine. At least I'm fine to your image of being okay."

He chuckled and kissed her head. "I asked Tony to move our wedding to next month but..."

"But what?" She asked looking up at him worried that the rest of the statement was going to be bad.

"He wants us to marry on Saturday. And that's three days away. I said alright but I wasn't able to ask you if you were okay with that."

Emalie giggled softly and placed her head on her hero's chest. "I'm fine with that Steve. I can't wait for you." Her smile went into a frown. "I just hope I can fill the role of Agent Peggy Carter. Your first true love."

Steve lifted her chin so he could look her in the eyes. "Don't you ever say that Emalie. You are better than her. That was 70 years ago. Times have changed. I have fallen in love with someone new. Someone who has been hurt but still cares enough to help me. That someone is you."

Tears filled the seventeen year old's eyes and she cried into his chest with mixed emotions. "Steve..." She sniffled. "I love you."

He kissed her head. "I love you too." They were both interrupted by the elevator door opening. Xassic walked over with Thor.

"It ain't even your wedding and you've already made my sister cry." She said in a joking manner which made everyone chuckle.

"Xassic." Emalie said as she rushed to her sister. She hugged the older sibling tight.

Xassic rubbed her sister's back as she hugged her back and close as possible. "I am never letting you go again Emalie. Nobody is going to take you from me. Other than Stevie of course."

Emalie giggled and shook her head. "Oh Xassic, always being protective like mom was. That's why you're my sister and why I love you."
