Chapter Seven - Again

Steve woke up quickly to Emalie's scream. He got out of bed and rushed outside.

"EMALIE?!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. He looked all through the house then outside. "Emalie where are you?!" He ran his fingers through his hair becoming frustrated.

Xassic rushed outside, "Steve! What's going on?! Where's my sister?!"

Steve shook his head and began to sweat, "I-I don't know! I heard her scream just a moment ago!"

Xassic cupped her hands over her mouth turning to look out far towards the mountain and yelled her sister's name, "Emalie!!!" She looked down and saw a piece of paper. She picked it up and opened it. "If you want her back 'heros' come find us. L.L., P.B. and....J.F." She dropped the paper in shock but then soon became furious. "That TRAITOR!! How dare he?!"

Steve picked up the paper and read it as well. "What?! Jack and Loki teamed up?!"

"And Pitch." North stated as he came out of the house. "Jack probably has a good reason as to why he joined them but we don't know what."

Xassic growled and turned to him. "How do you not know?! Jack's reason is revenge. He wants to get rid of Steve so he can have my sister. He's just as bad as Loki when it comes to love."

"I have to agree with her," Tony said standing in the doorway with his arms crossed. "Jack would only do this to get revenge." He looked at Xassic. "And Xassic knows how teenage boys can get. I went to highschool with her. All through college too."

Xassic crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "Oh jeez...here we go again about high school. You know Tony? You're just jealous that I was always smarter than you and you're jealous whenever I got first place in something and you got second."

He growled lowly and sighed, "Okay well yea...but I mean how much they overreact about another man stealing his girl."

Xassic starting laughing. "Oh right! You mean when the football captain Philip McCoy took me away from you." She laughed harder. "That was the best day of my life!"

Thor was also standing in the doorway with an eyebrow raised, "You used to go out with Stark? Since when?"

Xassic finally stopped laughing and calmed down. "High school." She stated. "Philip humiliated Tony when he asked me out to date him."

"Oh yeah? Well what did he do?"

"He poured the punch bowl on top of him, tripped him, pulled down his pants and then smeared cake all over his face." She glanced at Tony. "But in all honesty I did feel bad."

Tony rolled his eyes and gave his usual 'yeah okay whatever woman' face that he always gives her with a bit of a sarcastic eye roll. Xassic chuckled and shook her head with a smirk.

"You don't talk about stuff like that." He stated being a bit offended and irritated.

"Of course you should!" She replied to him. "It's a good way to get over the stupid embarrassment that happened thirty damn years ago."

Tony again rolled his eyes with sarcasm. He heard Xassic growl and he smirked. He loved to irritated her and he knew that she knew, and she hated it. But he loved to make her mad. It was his favorite thing to do in the world.

"Roll your eyes at me again boy. See what happens." She threatened with and serious look.

Thor patted his wife's shoulder. "Let's focus on getting your sister back and not trying to kill our teammates."

Xassic calmed down and re-analyzed the note Jack and the others left after they took Emalie. "I want to take a guess that they are holding their operations at Pitch's place."

Tony groaned as he walked inside. "I'll go do nerd things and find the location..."

Xassic smirked. "You haven't said that since high school hehe." She turned and went to check on the twins. Odin was sitting up in his crib again. Freya had just woken up but she decided to go back to sleep.

"Odin, why are you still awake kid? This is making mommy worry little man..." She looked at him and picked him up. She brought him to Bruce and had him do a check up.

"He hasn't been sleeping lately and it's worrying me." Xassic explained with concern in her voice.

Odin cooed and drooled as Bruce checked him. "Has he done anything else? Throwing up? Had a fever?" He asked as he started to run tests. Odin squealed and kicked his feet smiling at his mother.

"He did have a fever last night." Thor states as he walked in. "But it was only for like an hour or so. Is there something wrong?"

As Bruce finished the tests he looked at Thor. "Xassic is worried because he keeps waking up." He then looked at Xassic. "The tests prove negative. I think he's just wanting attention. Babies tend to cling to their parents the first year or two of their lives."

Odin squealed and raised his arms to his father wanting him to pick him up in his arms. "Abba!" He managed to say. Thor picked up Odin and held him against him. He simply smiled at Odin then looked back at Bruce.

"Is the medication working on him at least?" He asked.

Bruce double checked the reports and nodded with a smile on his face. "Yes it is infact. Just a few more weeks with the medication and he should be good."

Xassic let out a sigh of relief. "You don't know how happy I am to hear that Bruce." She smiled and hugged him. "If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't know where to begin to thank you..."

Tony knocked on the door and everyone turned to him. "Alright gang. Suit up. We're going to get Emalie back." He explained as he held up a piece of paper with some coordinates on it.

Xassic looked at Thor. "Do you think your father will mind if he watches the twins? Because I want to personally kick Jack's butt for what he has done. He doesn't deserve to be our ally as a traitor." She looked down.

Thor pet her cheek and put his forehead against hers. "No. He won't. But Jack had a reason. I don't think he really wanted any of this to happen. Maybe he's under Loki's mind control. Who knows? We can't just go blaming people Xassic." He kissed her head and sighed softly. "Now suit up and let's go kick ass darling."
