Chapter Eight - Reasons

Emalie was being suited up in a wedding dress. A blueish green wedding dress and groaned as someone tied the corset up tight. After her makeup and hair was done, she was left alone. She looked down and sobbed. Her fingers traced a numbering in her arm carved by one of Loki's guards. The number 3418976 was now forever placed in her left arm.

Jack was standing in the doorway. He was upset with what he has done but didn't say a word. He just stood and watched sadly as his one true love cried.

"Jack..." Emalie sobbed. "I know you're standing there."

Jack sighed and looked away. "I..I'm sorry Emalie I'"

He was cut off by the anger in her voice, "There is nothing to be sorry about Jack! Forcing me to marry you is wrong! WRONG! If I wish to be with Steve because you messed up then so be it. You have to deal with that Jack. I know Aiden is your son but, Steve..." She sighed and looked at the mirror. "Steve will be a better father. You are not ready Jack."

"No I am ready Emlie! Please! Let me show you that I'm ready!" Jack begged. He flew up to her and grabbed her hands in his. "Please..." He kissed her. His cold lips on hers.

Emalie teared up pulling away and shaking her head while crying, "No! Jack I said no! I don't want to marry you!"

"Emalie..." Jack cried like a five year old who didn't get what he wanted. "I can change. Please. Forget Steve and be with me again. We can be happy. You, me, and Aiden."

Emalie just looked away. This hurt him. Jack sighed and walked away.

Meanwhile Steve, Tony, Thor, Xassic and Sam had suited up and were on their way to saving Emalie. Tony glanced around while in his suit.

"Jarvis." He stated calmly. "Do a thermal scan and try to match it with the thermal scan you already have of Emalie."

"Will do sir." Jarvis responded as everyone ran.

Xassic sighed, "I hope we can find her soon. I just really hope she wasn't raped already by one of them."

"Loki wouldn't rape her. He's better than that. Trust me. He knows his limits." Thor replied.

Steve growled under his breath. "I will make Jack feel pain. He has hurt her and us hurting her even more by taking her away from me!" As they stopped in front of the doors to the castle of Asgard, Thor knocked.

"Yes?" A guard asked as he answered.

Thor handed him a note then left with his fellow teammates. Not long after, they reached Pitch's lair. Everyone entered but stayed hidden. They watched as Jack stood at the altar in his normal attire as the doors opened from down the altar.

Emalie sighed as she approached him. And the priest began the ceremony.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today for the joining of two souls. If anyone objects their bondage, please speak now or forever hold your peace."

Steve wanted to but Xassic, before hand, told him no.

So the priest continued, "Jackson Overland Frost. Do you take Emalie Jane Summers to be your lawfully wedded wife? And to hold her through now and forever? Through sickness and in health? Till death do you apart?"

Jack nodded placing the ring on Emalie's finger as he stared into her eyes lovingly. "I do. Now and forever."

"And Emalie Jane Summers. Do you take Jackson Overland Frost to be your lawfully wedded husband? And to hold him through now and forever? Through sickness and in health? Till death do you apart?"

Everyone looked at her. Steve had a look of worry and sadness on his face. Was she gonna say yes?
