Chapter 1
Courtney's POV
"Ready? Aim! Fire!" I shouted as arrows went flying into targets. I watched intently as my Lost Girls trained. We hadn't had a battle to fight yet, but our rival on the other half of Neverland, Peter Pan and his Lost Boys, would come over to our side and test us, making fun of our training because we're girls. "Anything they can do, we can do better." I always told my Girls. "Ay, my quiver is broken!" Dee groaned--this was the second time it'd happened. "My arrows are a little bent, as well." Kae said. Suddenly, all the Girls noticed something was wrong with each of their tools. I sighed and waved my hand, using my magic to recover what had been broken by who I'd become agitated with. Pan and his stupid Boys and their saboteur antics. The Girls cheered and continued their training whilst I headed to the other side of the island to chat with my smug enemy.
"Pan!" I hissed, marching toward the dark green clad figure, playing his pipes while the Boys were dancing around the fire. He stopped and looked up at me, a smirk appearing on his face. Standing, Pan looks at Felix, who whistled at the Boys. They then stopped dancing and left Pan and I alone. "Hello, love. What brings you to my side of Neverland?" "First, don't call me 'love.' Second, keep your little Boys away from my training camp! I can't keep using my magic to restore our weaponry because you idiots think it's fun to sabotage us!" I shouted, getting really annoyed. Pan chuckled. "They're just playing a game with you girls, Courtney. It's what we do." "I don't have time for games, Pan! I need to train my Girls!" "And what, pray tell, are you girls training for?" Pan raised an eyebrow, his lips quirking up at the corners. "You know why." I glared at him, wanting to slap the smirk of his face. "Eventually, you'll give up your half of the island, my dear. Neverland belongs to me." I scoffed and stepped closer, challenging him. "I think you've got that thought the wrong way around. YOU will give up. I'll still be here to fight." He chuckled dryly and licked his lips, causing me to glance at them. Wait what? "We'll see, dearie." I huffed and turned to walk back to my camp, very annoyed. "I do like a challenge, Courtney!" Pan shouted after me, making me roll my eyes as I walked back to camp.
