"Where do we start?" Carrie asked.
"Um... Honestly I don't know I didn't think we would get this far." I said. I walked around the communications center.
" Okay well what we know is Titan won't form alliance with us. And because of that the Sun will probably reject our offer as well and we cannot have the Sun as our enemy they are far too powerful." I said while pacing the room.
Carrie nodded her head " right right this is all true." Carrie said.
" My mom said they want something. If they want it so badly and we know it is so important why can't we just give it to them?" I said.
"Because we don't have it." Carrie sighed.
"Wait you know what it is?" I stopped pacing.
" Okay look before the Titan king turned off his hologram he said Phali-lozajala-ja Tijazizzzkiti-ki which means Golden Beauty in Titanium. That is the thing they say we stole. No one knows what it is though they think we are lying when we say we don't know." Carrie said. "Well someone has to know or else they wouldn't think we have it." I said.
"I mean we can search through all these files but, I've already done that.". Carrie said.
"Well maybe Golden beauty is a hint." I said.
"What do you mean?" Carrie asked.
" I mean beauty has different definitions like belle meaning beautiful woman and if they have golden in front of belle maybe it's a beautiful blonde woman". I said.
"So you mean we stole a babe? Why would we do that?". Carrie said.
"I don't know it doesn't make much sense but none of this does." I said with frustration.
"CARRIE NESSA ABORT MISSION!" Matt yelled through the earpiece.
"What why?" Carrie asked.
"First of all Carrie don't ever ask questions just run and second Nessa your mom is nearing the center if she finds you we'll all be in trouble." Matt said.
Carrie and I packed up the gloves and put away the files as quickly as we could as Matt wiped the system.
*click click click click*
Carrie and I both faced each other with fear because those were my mom's heels and we both knew it there was no way we could make a break for it because she was using the route we used to get here.
"Alternate plan?" I asked.
"You guys up to the vent above you I'll stall your mom for 1 minute using the lock on the door but that's all the time you'll have Ness." Matt said.
"Carrie boost me you can always explain why you're here if it takes too long." I said and she nodded and bent down so I could get on top of her and used my i-gram to break into the vent's password and leaped into the vent.
"20 seconds before she will come onto me you know she knows my work." Matt said.
"Grab my hand." I said to Carrie.
" No there's no time Nessa I-."
"10 seconds."
"Carrie grab my damn hand" I said
She jumped and grabbed my hand almost taking me with her .

I steadied myself and started to pull her up.

I yanked Carried up.

I covered the vent.

I secured the password and we were good.
"We're good Matt let her in." I said
"And one second to spare" Carrie said wickedly.
"That's more than last time." I laughed.
"Nessa your mom has entered so both of you shut up."
My mom walked in gorgeous as ever yet had a stone cold expression that can only come after a day of hard work at the ET communications center.
She plopped down in a chair and got onto one of the computers.
"What is she doing?" Carrie whispered.
"Shh!" I said.
My mom sat down in one at her desk and got started on what I could only guess was late night work that she couldn't finish at home.
"Ness I think you guys should start to head out who knows how long she'll be here you won't get anything good tonight" Matt said.
I sighed, Matt was probably right I'll just have to sneak in another day.
"Alright come on Car let's go. Matt just get me out of here" I said.
"I'll direct you guys out the building using the vents let's go before anyone realizes we're missing" Matt said.
"Come on Ness we can come back later k?" Carrie said.
"Okay I'm coming" I said. But just before we left I looked back one last time at my mom and saw a file folder in her the stack of work she had to go through. It said something weird on it, something I had seen before.
