Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of my father yelling. "Get up you have to see this!" My whole family ran downstairs to be greeted with the t.v on and the news playing. On the news I couldn't believe what I saw.

News girl: We hate to inform you but a fire broke out yesterday and it's homes are being evacuated or burnt down.

I almost wanted to cry. Quickly I grabbed my phone and called my friend tori.

"Tori Tori are you ok!?"
I heard a sniffle coming from the other end.
"Yeah yeah I'm fine we had to evacuate our ranch."
"Omg Tori I am so sorry, my whole family will pray for you."

After the phone call with tori I went up in my room. I looked outside and sure enough, you could see smoke. It was far from my house but the ashes were flying around.

I got into a sweater and put on shorts and a beanie. I put my hair up into a pony tail while just quickly applying mascara. Even though it was hot outside,my house was like a freezer.
Thankfully school wasn't cancelled.

I know I shouldn't be happy but I can at least see my friends. That's all I needed some comfort. My dad was on the phone calling everyone.

Across the street you could see the Red Cross setting up and people donating. I felt so bad for my friends. They mostly all evacuated their houses and some even got burnt down. The fire was there and it wouldn't stop.

"I have to go to work to see if any patient needs help." I heard my mom outside mumbling to my dad. I sighed heavily. This fire was doing a lot of damage to our whole community

A/n this was supposed to be a good chapter but with the fire that's going on in ToriAndHorses TrinityHoran someonesboyfriend and me. We are praying that the fire will go away. It's been a huge fire and half my friends have had to evacuate their houses. It's kind of sad. Anyways thanks for picking this book out and please please pray for our town. My school had been cancelled.
