Dear God! Why was this happening to me?Wasn't it enough all the trouble I was already in for running away from home?
And from my FATHER!
I blushed as I felt the intense gaze of the two strangers that now had a name. According to Mathew, who had called them, Dad and Michael.
"Er... Mathew." I didnt even know what to say, but I knew one thing. I felt uncomfortable and dizzy.
"Dad, could you give us a moment, please?" he asked and the gray-hair man nodded and the strangers left the room.
"I.."
"Serena..."
Both of us talked at the same time.
"You first."
"You first."
I smiled and I heard him chuckle, "Please, you first." He said and I nodded.
"Where I am?" I asked, I mean, it was obvious we were on his territory but where exactly. The thought of not knowing how much time I had been unconscious made me nauseous. If I didn't return soon, my father would probably send a tracking squad to look out for me. The least I wanted, was dad to know I had found my true mate. And he wasn't from our pack. He wasn't Liam or Ben.
Ben! Damn, I was still pissed at him. I couldn't believe he had asked to take part in the stupid "winning the Alpha's daughter contest"!
"You are at my pack's hospital." He said and took my hand in his. The shivers flooded through my body instantly. "My brother, Michael, he hit you pretty hard and we had to bring you here to do a quick check-up. He thought you were human, thankfully, you aren't." He smiled and I nodded assimilating everything.
"Your brother?"
"Er, yeah. Sorry, he's still quite young. He got scared and has a lot to learn as well."
"Mathew,.." he stopped his rambling and I whispered. "What time is it?"
"Uh.. half past nine." he answered and I jerk up from the bed.
"Crap!" I yell-whispered. Damn, I had been here all day long. Oh God!
"Is something wrong?" he asked worried and tightened his hold in my hand.
"Y-Yes, I need to go back. I've been here all day long. Mathew, my dad right now is probably... he is.." I started to panick. I really didn't want anyone to know about Mathew and who he was. I didn't want to illusion myself, I wasn't even sure I was going to have the chance of choosing my mate.
Tears accumulated in my eyes and in seconds, I was wrapped around in Mathew's arms. Providing safety and care.
"Hey, it'll be alright."
I inhaled his masculine, spicy and fresh scent and relaxed. My forehead rested on his shoulder. "Okay, but I need to go back as soon as possible. Mathew, you don't know how far my dad would go for any member of the pack. Especially me and.." I trailed off and his fingers lifted my chin, so I was facing his piercing blue eyes now.
"I do." He muttered.
I looked at him confused as he said, "I know because I would do anything for you, no matter what."
Aw...

I huffed in frustration and throw the bow to the floor. This was useless. I had been practicing how to shoot an arrow for the last five hours and I couldn't hold the bow right. Damn Alpha ceremony!
The trainer, Kevin, was frustrated. Liam and Ben had me going nuts with their intense glares and to finish, I was distracted. Very. Distracted.
I hadn't stopped thinking about Mathew and how odd it had been "meeting" his family. And at the same time how much had affected me his words.
I couldn't let anything happen to Mathew, not when he had a pack to protect, a family and in some way I knew I was starting to feel something more.
"Serena, again!" shouted Kevin and I sat down on the grass, defeated. The sky was grey and any encouragement I was given before, was now dissipating.
"I can't do it."I replied and Kevin shook his head.
"No, again!" He said.
"Serena, if you don't want to. It's okay." Liam said in a soothing voice while Ben interrupted.
"No, Serena. Do it. It's for your best."
Damn, they were fighting again. For the last week they had acted this way, I'd had enough.
I turned around and started walking home.
"See you tomorrow Kevin. I'm done for today." I muttered and heard Liam and Ben following me. This was the only advantage of the alpha blood I had, I could order.
I needed to rest and my arm still hurt a bit from the fall. Two days had passed and the only thing on my mind was Mathew, I wanted to see him.
Me too, let's visit him.
My wolf thought and for the first time I agreed.

I rubbed my eyes and yawned. I looked through the window, the dark night and realized I had fallen sleep. The clock showed it was eleven p.m.
Wow, I must had been really tired.
I tried to fall sleep, but it now seemed impossible so I put on a light sweater and went down to the kitchen. My stomach was growling.
I was about to open the fridge when a note caught my attention. I unfolded it and surprised myself when I saw the message.
Meet me at the woods, follow the trail I left.
I'll be waiting beautiful,
xx
I grinned at the message. It was from Mathew, for sure.
So he also wanted to see me. I felt my heart beating so fast as I ran to one of the house mirrors. I run my fingers through my fair and pinched my cheeks. I sighed trying to calm down and turned around to look for the trail he had left.
There were some more notes and I followed them.
And, as I walked out of the house and further into the woods the more excited I got.
I kept walking but couldn't find another note. I searched for it and finally posted on one of the trees, there was one left.
I unfold it as fast as I could, anxious to know the last clue.
Turn around. xx
And so I did.
"I'm so glad you came. I didn't think you would." he said with a smile.
Holy... I was not expecting this at all.
Who will that be?
Short chapter, but wait for the next one.
I hope I can update on Wednesday. Things are about to get good!
Hope you like it, don't forget to comment, share and vote for it.
Until next time! :)
