*So, here is the chapter that just involved the park. And just enjoy it!*

Iris' POV

Thomas and I walked through the park silently. I was like the old times when we were younger except there is alot of tension in the air. But, I thought this would be a lot easier. I couldn't take it anymore so I broke the ice.

"This is really hard." I say quietly. But, I knew Thomas heard me.

"What is?" He asked. And for the first time since we got here, I made eye contact. I swear that if it could happen, I would instantly get lost in his deep brown eyes.

Stop it, Iris. Not cool...

"We aren't even talking to each other like we used to. Even including earlier." I say. He looks at me and then sighs.

"Yeah, I know. But, I want to make it up to you, Iris." He said honestly. I looked confused for a second. What was he talking about.

"And how are you going to do that, Sanders?" I smirk inwardly.

"By taking you out for some frozen yogurt. And maybe," I barely notice he grabbed my hand. "we could sing together like we used to." I felt everything rise up to my cheeks. I looked down at the ground but then Thomas pulled me up to look in his eyes. "Iris, it's okay." As if he read my mind, he pulled us to the frozen yogurt stand. We walked up to the guy who was working the stand. He turned around and smiled at us.

"What can I get for you crazy kids?" He asked. I smiled in my head.

"Uh, one chocolate chip with sprinkles and gummy worms, and one vanilla with nuts, chocolate syrup and sprinkles." I looked at him surprised. He even remembered my order of frozen yogurt. I think Thomas found my gaze because he winked at me and I found myself blushing again.

"Okay, you wait here. I'll get your order." The guy said before disappearing from the stand. I turned to Thomas and he smirked at me.

"I can't believe you remembered my favorite." I said shyly. He looked at me.

"Your my best friend, Iris. Like I would forget you. That would be a 1 out of a trillion chance of happening." He said. For some reason, I silently cringed at the words 'best friend'. What wrong with me? I was about to say something else until the guy came back. He handed us our cups.

"How much do we owe you?" Thomas asked taking out his wallet.

"Nothing, on the house. Now, go on and be a happy couple." He said without thinking. Once again, my face was flushed with redness and so was Thomas'.

"Oh, we aren't dating. We are just best friends." We both said before looking at each other weirdly.

"Oh, that's a shame. Well, I won't give up my hopes. Just have fun a don't forget to invite me to your wedding." They guy joked. I quickly grabbed Thomas' hand and we walked all the way to a bench near the lake. We sat down and ate our yogurt.

"Well, that was really awkward." I said. Thomas looked up and nodded.

"Well, it was the first time this has happened." He said. I nodded before finishing the last of my yogurt. Thomas looked at me and then laughed. I felt more blush running to my face. "What's so funny?" He stops laughing and catches his breath.

"I'm sorry. It's just that you seemed like you really missed eating frozen yogurt because of all the leftovers around your mouth." I laughed a bit before licking the rest off.

"Better?" I asked. He shook his head no.

"You missed one part." He then licks his thumb and rubs it at my lower cheek. He smiles but doesn't remove his thumb. "All better." I looked into his eyes.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"No problem for a friend." He said. I cringed again but then I felt myself leaning closer. And Thomas was too until we heard a voice and pulled away.

"Iris? Thomas?" I turned around and I saw the last person I would want to see at a time like this.

*Yep, Thomas and Iris were about to kiss but I'm so evil. I'm kidding. I wouldn't want to make it that quick I want to take my time. So, who do you think Iris and Thomas saw and heard? Find out next time. Bye!*
