Chapter 10

Iris' POV

I groaned out loud and I wished that things would have been normal for my life. I wanted to have friends. Jennifer took my old friends and Beck away from me. The people I could trust were my siblings and Thomas. I just wished that my life didn't go downhill. I looked towards my window and I saw a drawing taped on it. I get up from my soft bed slowly and grabbed the paper. I unfolded it until I saw something I couldn't believe.

Dear Iris, March 26, 2007

I can't believe that my best friend is officially 9. I am so happy for you. Iris, you are one year closer to your double digits and me and Thomas are so happy for you. I didn't know what to give you exactly, (considering you are my best friend in the whole wide world) but I decide to just write you a letter and see how it goes. I just want to remind you that I am always here for you when you need a friend. They can't separate the Thomeckis (Thomas/Beck/Iris) friendship. See what I did there. I combined our names together. We will always be best friends for as long as we live I promise you that.

"Well, Beck you lied to me and Thomas and look what happened and what you caused." I said while crumpling the note and throwing it into the trash can in my room. I buried my head in my knees and just stayed like that for what felt like 3 hours. Then, a slight knock on my door pushed me out of my trance. I gotten up and I opened the door that revealed Thomas at the door. He gave me that bright smile he always has when we were kids.

"Hey. How are you feeling?" He asked me softly. I shrugged my shoulders as I sat back down on my bed with him sitting next to me.

"I feel like I have been lied to." I grumbled. Thomas looked at me confused. "Check out what I had recently threw in my trash can. He crawled over to the trash can and picked up the note. He started reading it until he turned towards me with a sad expression. He put the note back in the trash and he kissed my cheek softly.

"I just can't believe that Beck would ruin things for us." I spoke. Thomas shrugged his shoulders and rubbed tiny circles on my back. I had gotten good shivers from his touch.

"I can't believe it either but Iris, Beck is so stupid for leaving us behind. I won't let that happen between you and me. I will not leave your side. You can count on me to be there." He smiled at me before pecking my lips.

You can count on me, like 1, 2, 3
I'll be there.
Cause I know when I need it I can count on you like 4, 3, 2 and you'll be there.
Cause that's what friends are supposed to do oh yeah.

Thomas softly sang to me. I felt myself calm down a bit. I hugged him and he hugged me back. As I hugged him, I couldn't help but think about our past friendship.

Did Beck ever think back to this note?

*Here is this chapter. I kinda just made it this morning cause I was bored. I guess when I'm bored, I tend to have ideas for what I am writing. For these past few weeks, things haven't been like this because of my break and traveling and today is just that day where I can just be bored and write new chapters and do whatever I would want to do. I think that is what Sundays basically do. Anyway, today I'll update my Star vs The Forces Of Evil Fanfic. If you are a fan of that, you can check it out and also my Raola Fanfic will be updated today or tomorrow. So, go ahead and check those stories out if you want to. And finally, I can see that 'Not Wrong' is getting close to 1k reads. If it does, that will be my 4 story that has reached 1k. I will be very happy about that. And guys, I realized that this story is going to go a little over 20 chapters and I would like to go over 30 chapters, I really do but I have a deadline until June to finish my stories now. I want to finish these at least towards the end of May so I am sorry for breaking the story off. Hopefully, there could be a sequel. I could make that happen if possible. Finally, (I swear this will be the last thing I say because I tend to rant sometimes) don't forget to vote and comment and read this story.
