"My cousin is a psychopath!" I repeated to myself. He was always a bit weird... but this? This takes the cake!
I walked to his desk and found miniature models of the Pines family and pictures of Mabel behind his door... Was he THIS in love with her?
Whatever was going on, I needed to find out! I wonder if I should tell Maria...

I slipped back into the room and started packing my suitcase, I'll have to take a little trip downtown...

As I picked up my suitcase and walked to the door, Maria sat upright. I sighed.
"Where are you going?" She asked with a yawn. "Far away from this place..." I said with a sad look. "But it's barely 3 am!" She said as she looked at the time on her phone. "That's exactly why I'm taking the chance now, Maria!" Tears started forming in my eyes. "Anna-lee, we can't leave! What will your parents say?" Maria scolded. I sat down on the bed. I put my head in my hands and started sobbing.
Maria sat next to me and put an arm around me. "Why don't you want to be here?" She asked and rubbed circles on my back. "I don't like it here..." I sighed and looked away.
