*_Author's Note

Buon giorno everybody!

(That's Italian for good morning if you didn't know)

(But you probably knew that)

(Since you're hetalians)

(Or at least I'm assuming)

(Also it might not be morning where you're at)

(Oh well)

Anyway, hope you all enjoy my first fan fiction! It's probably gonna suck. Just giving you a warning in advance so don't complain later. Also don't give me any shit about not liking a pairing. Cause I wrote it like that. So deal with it.

Also, please comment! I will read through them.

And feel free to critique, not criticize.

Yes there's a difference.

Thanks for reading.

(Sorry I'm random)

Ciao for now!

Love,

Sadie_*

Chapter One: Pick your poison

"C'mon Italy, keep up the pace!" Germany called. I whimpered, falling farther and farther behind him and Japan. It felt like my heart was going to explode. And I was only on my fifth lap. Japan was on his eighth and Germany...well; let's just say I stopped counting after thirteen.

Germany slowed down and kept pace with me. I could feel my throat burn. "C'mon Italy, why can't you run like you do when you are in retreat?!" He yelled at me. I could feel the tears sting the backs of my eyes. He's right, I am a terrible soldier, I thought. I tried hard to press forward. I need to be strong, like Germany. I began to pick up the pace. "That's it Italy! Keep going," Germany said beside me. I finished my fifth lap and didn't stop at the end of it. I kept going until suddenly my legs felt like jelly and I fell. I tripped and scrapped myself up in the dirt. "Italy!" Germany called, sounding worried. He dropped to the ground beside me, helping me up slowly. "Are you alright?" He asked sternly, but worry filled his eyes. The rocks from the dirt peppered my skin and had made small cuts in my hands.

"Ow," I said, sitting up slowly. Germany took my arms in his, pulling me up.

"Here," he said. "Do you want me to carry you to the house?" He thinks I'm weak, too weak to walk.

"No, Germany I am fine," I said, and straightened. He still looked extremely concerned.

"I think we should take a break for lunch. What do you think Japan?" Germany said. Japan nodded.

"That sounds good," Japan replied. He was still panting.

I nodded, staying silent. I could feel waves of emotion roll through me and I was afraid if I said anything, they would all come pouring out. I excused myself without a word, walking quickly to the house.

"Italy?" Germany asked sounding puzzled. I didn't turn around.

"Just have to go to the bathroom!" I shouted behind me, tears blurring my vision. I walked into the house and slammed the door behind me. Thoughts ran through my head. Worthless member of this team, the Axis would be better off without you; better, stronger, not dragged down by a worthless, pasta-loving idiot. I ran through the house, barely hearing as Germany and Japan came in. I finally made it to my room. I shut and locked the door behind me. I rushed to my private bathroom, throwing open drawers. Where is it? Where is it?! Finally I saw the orange pill bottle. My hand closed around it, and I threw two of the antidepressants into my mouth, swallowing them without water.
