Ace Strieter was a young boy with blue eyes and red hair,it was quite clear that he resembled his father in almost every way. He was a stubborn boy who picked fights a lot and wanted to join the scouts to see the outside world. One of his friends in particular Jay was the son of Armin Arlert and Annie Leonhardt. There was nothing little Jay wanted to do more than see the outside world. His mother wasn't really there in his life so he was mainly raised by his father who told him the wonders of the outside. Ace took after his father in many ways.
Sadly he received majority of his traits from his father being stubborn and rushing into danger even if it costed him his life. On this particular day Ace was supposed to be gathering wood but Jay got into a little scuffle with some local bullies so Ace thought he should go save him as he ran off to the bullies with his fist clenched he shouted at them and cursed at them hoping to scare them off but was it enough? "Ugh... You jerks jumping me? Where's your honor!? You're nothing but a bunch of wusses!" Jay was crying, he was just slammed into a wall and punched in the stomach by some of the local bullies. He was bullied pretty much every day for "being a nerd" as they called it.
He wasn't really a fighter but more of a strategic helper. "YOU JERKS!" Ace came storming in ready to fight the bullies unlike his father he didn't have someone to protect him. Ace swung at one of the bullies who just dodged his hit and kneed him in the stomach "y-you... Worthless... Pu...GAH" ace was kicked while on the ground the bullies threw Jay aside and all jumped onto Ace beating the living day lights out of him. By the time they were finished Ace couldn't do anything but lay there and cry. "H-hey Ace..." Jay kneeled down beside his best friend helping him up, Ace was covered in blood and bruises. "Ugugh..." Ace couldn't speak he was clearly in to much pain. "Here lets get you home..." Jay began to sluggishly pull ace along back to his house, no one bothered to help.
None of the older citizens all they did was watch the young boy pull his friend along no one seemed to care. "ACE!!!!" His mother came running from the house she literally grabbed Jay and threw him aside to make sure her baby boy was ok, crying and grasping on to him she was cursing and promising to make the boys pay for what they did to him. "Yeah... Don't worry about me... I mean I wasn't being beaten up or anything either"
Jay stood there awkwardly for a moment before heading back to his own house. "Hey son.... Ugh don't tell me some bullies beat you up again..." Armin looked at his son worried. "I'm fine dad really... It's just they keep making fun of me whenever I talk about the outside world... And when I try to reason with them they hit me..." Jay sat down at the dinner table "hey dad where's mom?" Armin set down a plate for Jay as he looked at his son "s-she's out somewhere probably polishing a diamond she found..."
Jay looked at his father smiling "someday I want to shine bright like a diamond, but of course I want to see the outside world first!" Armin looked at his son "yeah... You will shine bright like a diamond son... You will." Jay ate his food and was sent off to bed as his father came and tucked him in he looked his father in the eyes and said "dad... I want to join the trainee corps..." Armin looked at him shocked but then smiled "I heard Ace is joining the scouts too... And now I want to join" Jay was hoping his father would let him join. Arming sighed deeply and tucked his son in "you know... When I was your age the wall was breeched and I decided to join the scouts because Eren and Mikasa did... I can see Ace is your Eren... I suppose there's nothing wrong with you joining the scouts just be sure you make it back inside of the walls after an expedition..." Jay smiled and hugged his father. "Thanks dad! I promise I'll come back!"
"And suddenly I get a very strong urge to go outside of the walls and fight the Titans, it may be a dangerous journey and I may die but at least I'll die for humanity..."
"You're only 10..."
"LET ME DO WHAT I WANT MOM!!!!" Ace and his mother argued about joining the scouts his mother didn't want him to end up like his father. "Eren nearly died because he joined the scouts if it wasn't for his Titan powers he'd be dead right now the answer is no!" Mikasa was furious with ace as ace just kept insisting to join the scouts. "But... MOOOOOOOOOOOOOM I have to join the scouts so I can kill the titaaaans..." Eren looks doesn't look up from his food ignoring the argument. "Absolutely not just because your father was a suicidal brat doesn't mean you can be one too" Eren looked up from his food at Mikasa saying quietly. "I'm right here..." Mikasa takes up her plate as she had already finished eating "look the answer is no ace... Eren please talk some sense into your son..." Mikasa glares at Eren as he looks her in the eyes and says "Mikasa no..." Mikasa turns from the sink and stares at Eren smiling "Mikasa yes" Eren sighs and looks at ace. "Ace I'm sorry but your mom is right... But then again I never listened to her... SO GO TO YOUR ROOM AND START PACKING because you're leaving for training in 2 days." Mikasa slams her hand so hard on the counter that the counter breaks leaving an imprint of her fist. "Fine... I suppose he can be a scout... He does have some of my genes after all..." Mikasa eased up and smiled as she turned and began to do the dishes. "YES THANKS DAD!" Ace ran off to his room to begin packing for the trainee camp.
