Tony took a look inside the small velvet box that he held in his hand. He sighed with sadness. "He'll wake up soon." He mumbled to himself, even though he knew Loki was never going to awaken.
His back faced the door to his bedroom. "Tony," Bruce bursted into the room unexpectedly. "He's awake!" Tony's head shot up. "Take me to him."
---
Loki lay in the hospital like bed. His arms were hooked up to all sorts or machines. He sighed, he missed Tony. Was Tony even alive? He was hurt pretty badly. But, where was Loki?
There was a sound of fast paced footsteps running from outside the room. The door bursted open. "Loki!" Tony burst. "Tony!" Loki said, his stomach fluttered. "I thought you were dead." Tony said squeezing Loki in a tight hug. Sharp pains shot through Loki's side, causing him to wince in pain. Tony immediately pulled away. He looked down at Loki's bandaged stomach. "Sorry," Tony said. "It's alright, but how am I still alive?" Loki asked. "That's where I came in, I do have a doctor's degree after all." Bruce slightly chuckled. "Thank you, Doctor Banner." Loki said with a slight smile.
Tony and Bruce traded glances, Bruce nodded to Tony before leaving the room without a word. Tony looked nervous. He took a deep breath before getting down on one knee. "Loki, I've known you for a long time. One time, you even tried to kill me, but you've changed since then. And this probably sounds like shit, but you're the kind of person I want to spend the rest of my life with," Tony took another deep breath as he pulled out the small velvet box. "Loki Laufeyson, will you be my husband?"
Loki had tears in his eyes, and was covering his mouth. "Yes, Anthony, yes!" Loki cried. Tony stood up, he pulled Loki into a loving kiss. As Tony slipped the golden ring on Loki's finger, cheers, whistles, and applauds came from the doorway. Tony and Loki pulled away. The Avengers stood from the doorway as they applauded. "Congrats you two." Clint whistled. Loki's face turned beet red, and he buried his face in Tony's chest. "Get the hell out you guys." Tony laughed. He wrapped his arms around his lover. "So you don't want to go out for a nice dinner to celebrate?" Natasha teased. "Just leave us to ourselves. We'll be ready in an hour." Tony said. "See you in an hour, Stark." Steve said, Bucky nervously by his side. They all left the room, and then it was just Tony and Loki.
---
"Anthony," Loki hummed. "We're going to be late." Loki was dressed in a black tux with a white button down and a gold and green scarf laying on his shoulders. Tony poked his head out from the bathroom. "It's called fashionably late, sunshine." Tony said, as he emerged from the bathroom. He was dressed in a dark grey tux with a magenta button down and a silver tie. Tony held out his arm and him and Loki linked arms.
They made their way downstairs. They entered the room to see that everyone was dressed nicely. The guys were wearing button downs and tuxedos, and Natasha was wearing a long black dress. "Everyone ready?" Steve asked, putting his arm around Bucky. "You bet, Capsicle." Tony laughed. Steve ignored his new name, as they all walked to the streets of Manhattan.
Hey guys. Today is 9/11 and I just wanted to take a moment to give thanks to the men and women who lost their lives serving our country and trying to save others who were involved with the twin towers collapsing. May their souls rest in peace. And thanks for all of your bravery while being a hero.
P. S. Sorry I cut it short. It's 11:30 and I'm so tired.
