Chapter 10: PrincessXDragon

    After I was moping around the corner of the street, Natsu had pulled me away. His hand on my arm felt warm and cozy. You'd feel protected, whether you liked to be in the center of his protection or not. We landed infront of an open icecream cart where the middle-aged vendor that had a sombrero on, automatically smiled at us.

  "What flavor would it be?" He warmly asked.

  "2 vanilla flavored, please." Natsu grinned at him. "Oh and chocolate on top."

   Natsu caught the icecream given to him and he smiled at me, giving the other icecream to me.

   I licked the chocolate over my yummy vanilla flavored cold-goodness I had in my hands. God, this was good ice cream. I forgot when was the last time I had my tongue all over this amazing goo-ey and satisfactory stuff. These heavenly blessings are a total ecstasy.

  "It's delicious, right?" Natsu asked me, licking his fingers like a puppy does. It was his 3rd ice cream already. My first one didn't even melt away yet! 

  "Yup. I see you're enjoying yourself." I said, smiling at him. Now's not the time to get 'repulsive' over anything. Just appreciate the fact that you aren't paying and that he's giving you free ice cream. Chill, Lucy. Chill. You totally need a day off from stress. You deserve it. Thumbs up.

  "Uhuh, did I mention you're paying?" Natsu said grinning at me, his mouth clumsily covered with icecream of different flavors, biting off the cone of his 5th ice cream. Wow, this man works his way fast. My ice cream fell flat on the ground. My eyes widened.

  "WHAT!?" I yelled. "You said 'let's get some ice cream'! Didn't that mean you're paying?" I expressed disbelief. I sarcastically mimicked his earlier line with a 'deep man's voice' kind of way, wanting it to melt  into his brain. 

  "I'm kidding!" He laughed. "Jesus, You're so serious. That's why I'm telling you, relax a little."

     Bam, I froze. The way he smiled and how the icecream is messily placed over his mouth, it was breath-taking. So breath-taking, my heart could stop. I think I'm losing it. 

       I blushed, trying to hide it away. I do hate to admit it but, did he know he was adorable like this? 

  "Ah, so young~" The vendor sang. "I remember when I was your age, I'd also bring my lover to get some icecream and let the day pass, laughing away." He smiled, looking up and thinking about his heart-felt memories.

  "Oh, I think you're mistaken, sir, we're not a coup--" My line that was supposed to make everything clear was interrupted by a hug. Natsu had placed his arm around my shoulders, pulling me into him. He was so close, my face was gently placed over his chest. He was so close, I could hear his heart thumping. He was so close, I had to wish he wouldn't feel my heart thumping back to his fast pace. I was suprised by hi s sudden actions.

     When I looked up, I was confronted by his grin, shining brightly at the icecream vendor. Like he'd just won a lottery.

  "Haha! Of course. We're really into each other. The day we'd spent together would feel like minutes." He looked at me. "Right, Lucy?"

     I stopped. What am I supposed to say again?

  "Uhh, right....Natsu." I couldn't help but feel my cheeks heat up. I looked away, praying it would cool off and he wouldn't notice. "We... we should go now." I softly added. 

   "Yeah, we should." Natsu said, handing the money to the guy. "Thanks a lot!" He said, waving. The guy smiled back.

     About 10 steps after, I pushed him away. Regaining my consciousness, I looked at him with my eyes narrowed.
