Waking up just drags me down, and 1 word would explain entirely--school.
You would think I was being awoken by my alarm, but that was not completely right.
As I my fingers tried sliding to the right on my iphone, to turn the alarm off, I realize it wasn't working.
So my eyes shot open, and there beside my bedside was none other than Jake Eaton.
"Good morning sunshine!" He yelled.
"Go away. I don't want to go to school." I whined."Who said we were?" He stated.
"Yeah?" I smirked.
"What's with the smirk?" He laughed.
"Because skipping school is fun and dangerous." I honestly said."You're such a nerd." He said as he ruffled my already messy bed hair.
I was ready to give him my revenge. But before even got the chance to hover my palm above his head, he ran.
When he ran out of my room, I gladly locked my room, smiling, since I've outsmarted him.
I heard his footsteps running back to my door and the doorknob twisting but couldn't open as he gave out a sigh "damn it".
I showered, brushed my teeth, got dressed and even put on some light make up. I stumped down the stairs looking for food.
When there wasn't any, the corners of my lip turned downwards.
"Why so glum, honey plum?" A voice said from beside me.
I gave him a confused look for using the words "honey plum".
"What? They rhyme okay?" He answered sheepishly.
I rolled my eyes but chuckled anyways.
"So, What's wrong?" He asked.
"There's no food!" I answered, or rather screamed.
"Well then, come on!" He said, dragging me.We walked to his porsche, sweet mama.
As we reached the same diner he brought me to once, lucy spotted us."Hello again, Riley!" She joyfully bellowed.
"Hi, Lucy!" I replied back with the same enthusiasm.
"What would you lovebirds like?" She asked.I furrowed my brows while jokingly cringing and answered "I'll have a blueberry pancake please."
Jake ordered his, and Lucy said she'll be right back with our orders.
After we finished our food, Jake reached for the check and with my ninja reflexes I pulled it away out of his reach.
I took out the amount to be paid and knowing Jake, he would obviously try something.
So instead of waiting for Lucy to retrieve it, I walked up to the cashier and paid directly.
When I came back, Jake was staring at me with a smirk plastered on his face.
"So, this is a date?" He said referring to our previous meal here.
"No.. You're going to pay me back." I stated, realizing my mistake."Fine. But next time I'm paying." He smiled.
