Ally's pov
"MOM!" I screamed as she fell to the floor. The dead began to flood to her. All of a sudden arrows fly out of the woods as the prison gates opened and people flooded out. A man comes out and picks her up mumbling something.
He had a leather jacket with angel wings on the back, a crossbow like my moms slung over his shoulder, piercing blue eyes and dirty blonde hair that was growing. He picked my mother up and began running for the gates. I ran in after him as they took her to a cell screaming for a man named Hershel.Angelica's pov
I woke up in a cell, all of my weapons stripped from me. I jolted up only to let out a strangled cry and pain shot through my shoulder.
Ally came running in moments later, along with a boy that looked to be her age. He wore a sheriff hat and had blue eyes like her. "Mom thank god." She mumbled hugging me.
"Yer lucky your sorry ass ain't dead because if it was I would have killed you!" My daughter said laughing through her tears. I stifled a chuckle.
"Where are we Ally?" I asked. "We are at a prison. There's a group that's been holed up here a while now. This is Carl, he's the leaders son. The leaders name is Rick." A man came into the cell along with someone who was clearly related to the young boy standing next to my daughter. By instinct, I reached for my crossbow, only to find a bullet hole. I winced as they came closer. "Hello. I'm Hershel. You were shot. It was a pure mistake. Carl here was trying to shoot the walkers behind you and hit your shoulder." The boy took his hat off and looked at the ground. Ally whipped around and glared at him. "Did I just here that right Grimes!? You shot my ma!?" And with that she stormed out. "Definitely got her daddy's temper." I murmured under my breath. The elder man Hershel chuckled. "She reminds me of a man we have here in our group. You do too now that I think about it."
I nodded while he helped me out of my cell to be introduced to the group. I was greeted by a pair of piercing blue Dixon eyes I would know anywhere. "Daryl. Fucking. Dixon." I breathed. His face came to realization as he remembered who I was. "A-angel?"
"Don't call me that ya prick. It's Angelica." I spat, pure venom in my voice. The pet named he had called me since we met stung as it came from his mouth. And with that he stormed out of the cell block. Typical Daryl Dixon everyone! He's very classy.
Rick broke the tension and continued introducing me to everyone else. When he reached Carl, he apologized for shooting me. I may have a Dixon temper, but he was just a kid. "I'm Angelica. Y'all can call me Ang if you'd like." I turned to Rick, "you got my bow?" I asked, mentally wincing at my thick southern drawl. "Yeah. You get your weapons back when we trust you.
That's bullshit! My mind screamed. But all my mouth mustered out was "understandable."
"Anyone seen Ally?" I asked. An older woman who I believed name was carol nodded. "She's in the cell you were staying in. She needed some time to cool down." I nodded.
"And...Dixon?" I asked, almost scared of the answer.
"Probably huntin." Rick mumbled.
"Can I please have my crossbow so I 'an go huntin. Maybe track us somethin'" I said.
Rick thought for a while before nodding. My injured shoulder hurt like a bitch, but I said nothing.
"If my daughter asked, tell her I went hunting!" I yelled as my voice echoed throughout the cellblock as I exited the gates of the prison.
